Books have the early line up for the Stamps/Elks next week up with the Stamps being 2.5 point favs.
Would be hopeful that Ford will be able to play, as I would make the Elks a pik if he starts. The total would be 53....tons of points should be scored. If Ford is not able to play I would make it Calgary -3.5 50.
Obviously hoping the Elks get crushed today, setting up a good situation for them next week.
Next week's early lines
Indigo Sportsbooks
Roughriders -4 46 -2.5 47
Tiger Cats +7 49 +5 52'
Lions -5 52 no line
Stamps pik 53 with Ford -3 50'

Here's an angle favoring the Tiger Cats next week at home versus the Argos. I put this out now because if I don't some of these angles get lost into cyberspace.
A home divisional underdog on at least a 3 game losing streak in September playing a team that allows less than 100 yards rushing.....9-2 ATS (+7.0), 5-6 straight up (+1.91). If we add in another game in August this moves to 10-2 ATS. Without the defensive rush yards allowed parameter this is 13-4 ATS in August/September.
Then in October/November this same situation almost becomes the reciprocal going 2-11-1 ATS, so it is not like this angle is super-robust.
It happens quite often that playing around with angles that we consider playing a team that we really hate....and actually this week I secretly played the Tiger Cats in their loss, but cover versus the Bombers after initially really considering the Bombers. Taking a team with Bo Levi Mitchell these days is hold-your-nose-before-pressing-the-submit-button stuff. You severely chastise yourself if you play him and lose.
Obviously I won't count the win on my record here.
If the other guy, Powell, is qbing the Cats I have no qualms about playing the Tiger Cats, but if he isn't we'll see if the betting line might go north of 6.
