I like Urango, but ITD. He's fighting in a hostile place and it would take a lot to get the nod via points. Also, if the fight goes the distance it probably will be because he was outboxed and couldn't land big shots.

I'm a Pittsburgh guy, so I love Meza Clay. However, he also has to go to Mexico and fight a guy in his home court. Monty can bang at times, but doesn't really have KO power. The last time he fought somebody legit (Aiken doesn't count) he was pounded by Cherry. Much of that was due to a large size difference.. Clay is only 5'2 and is maxing at his current weight, where Solis could easily move up a class or two in theory. I would love to see him pull it out.

With you on Urango of the ITD variety.  Should be a good one tonight.  Hopefully we don't get any Canadian shenanigans this time.

We hear this a lot about Montreal, but I think it's been true in terms of the judging in the last year.  Sebastian Demers lost a split decision to Dionisio Miranda, and that would've gone Demers' way if the judging had been at all biased.  And recently the Quebec resident Walid Smichet lost a decision to Don Mouton in Quebec.  Were there some undeserved decisions that went the Quebecois fighter's way recently.  I'm thinking that the numbers don't back up the assertion that you can't get a decision on the road in Quebec.  If Urango outlands Ngoudjo with power punches in a majority of the rounds, he could easily get a decision.  Or, he could win ITD.  I just don't think this is the slam dunk of: Ngoudjo by Dec or Urango ITD.  That type of thinking is how people lose money in matches like this.  But I will be cheering for Urango ITD.

Well I lose with this scenario.  I just think with Ngoudjo being the more active fighter on his home turf it would take 1-2 KD's from Urango to get a decision which I think would end things before the final bell anyway.

Good fight and pace through two.  I like the pace for Urango and I like that he is trying to go to the body.

Herman can not stay on his bike for all 12 like this.  I still like where we stand.  This loss is going to suck big time if it doesn't come through.  Urango needs to go the body hard.

I liked what I saw in round 6 much more then 4 or 5.  Urango is still getting a bit over eager, cut off the ring, go to the body and follow with the hook to the head.  Easier said then done, but it's the ticket.
