What a fantastic matchup. Fernando Montiel with his power vs the speed/power of Nonito Donaire. I really like Donaire in this one as I think his speed, size, power will cause Montiel problems. I'm not sure if Donaire will stop him but I like he fight to go over 7.5 rounds. IMO donaire is even better now at this weight and I think his body can carry him even higher. His 5'6 frame should give Montiel some problems and as long as donaire doesn't get carried away by brawling he should when this pretty easily.

This will be my biggest play since I played Hopkins to beat Tarver. BOL to all. BTW I had a terrible day in Strikeforce last week so fade me if you want

    Nonito Donaire -200
    Over 7.5 rounds -160

I like the over 7.5 in this one, even if it was 10.5 I would take the over, when 2 pound for pounders fight it seldom ends in a ko, I also have a slight lean towards montiel with all of that experience, I also like the fact that montiel is training at home for this one, both of montiels losses came when he left mexico to train. a small play on montiel and a big one on the over 7.5

Both of these guys have lots of power. Montiel recently changed his style to be more crowd pleasing but IMO if he goes in there and brawls he could get stopped. Montiel was losing to Hasawaga sp? before he broke his jaw. I know Donaire's going out there for the KO not sure if he'll get it though

And yeah Montiel definitely has more experience and none of his losses were blowouts. I believe they were both by SD that being said I think he has more mileage on him.

Of course everyone prefers mayweather/Pacquiao but Donaire vs. Montiel is a good one too.

    waiting for so long.

Of course everyone prefers mayweather/Pacquiao but Donaire vs. Montiel is a good one too.

Montiel was looking like he was getting dominated by Hasegawa who is a very good fighter until he caught him with a massive left hook.

Here is video of the highlights

Donaire hits a lot harder than Hasegawa so I can't really see Montiel walking through shots like he did against Hasegawa.

I'm very excited for this fight haven't been this excited for a boxing match in a while.

that's the reason why I didn't wnat to state it in the beginning because I knew people would say that. Nonito Donaire trains in the bay area. So I've been to his open workouts before. Someone in his camp told me he wanted to get him out of there by the 6th round. You don't have to believe me but that's the only reason why I didn't bet on the over 7 rounds. You can't really predict outcomes but knowing he was going to be aggressive or was that confident was good enough for me

so hate all you want. there's no reason for me to make it up

thanks. As mentioned in the previous post. I was going to slam that over 7.5 but someone from his camp mentioned to me that he was going for a early ko. or felt like it would happen

It's going to be hard for Donaire to reach the level of Pacquiao. Pacquiao was always popular but he didn't reach this insane super stardom until he moved up to fight De La hoya. I think Donaire's MAX weight would be probably 135 but that won't be for a while. Donaire will be a star though he speaks english and is charismatic.
