from everyhing I have heard he will fight devon alexander and this will be the only fight that I will knock him for, he needs to fight guerrero in this spot a fighter that I actually give about a 40 percent shot to beat floyd, the alexander fight is a damn mismatch that I could not care any less about, a spadafora fight would be much, much better than alexander and we all know spadafora put one on him in sparring back in the day, ya ,ya spadafora was 1 week away from a championship fight and floyd was just in the gym, but hey floyd did not come to the gym to lose, but lose he did.

Spaddy/floyd would have been a very fun match up back then if you are into slick boxing. I don't the he's fighting anything close to world level opposition at this point though, and Floyd would be CRUCIFIED by most people if he fought Spaddy now. Also, I'd prefer to see that payday go to someone who didn't shoot his girlfriend.

Barring injury or something, he's definitely fighting someone may 4th. I agree with the theory that he's using Alexander to make people clamor for Guerrero.  They're both legit opponents to me, insofar as they have good resumes. Don't think either would beat him, but then who would? Maybe Sergio, but that's not happening.

spadafora is still superior to alexander, spadafora's last win was over a top 15 type of guy, he is still an undefeated fighter/former world champion with a great story behind him and a great story with floyd, this fight would sell much more than an alexander fight and be much more competative as well as pauls style will always give floyd problems and if you saw alexander fight bradley you know that when the going gets tough he quits, it will clearly get tough vs floyd and I will bet that he will quit in his corner again. spadaofra does not know the word quit and for the record paul and renee are still together, pretty sure the spadafora fight will not happen, I do hear that paul vs malignaggi is currently being talked about in a matchup of pure boxers, that one reminds me of benitez vs cervantes and I would love to see it,  but guerrero deserves a shot at floyd and has a serious shot to beat him at this stage of his career as well, guerrero is a young and experienced volume punching, iron chinned opponent who is hungry and also has boxing skills, this is everything an older fighter does not want to face. I think floyd is a truly great fighter, but I also know that he does not love boxing anymore and he only fights to support his lavish lifestyle and also because it is all he knows....he is ready to be beaten, robert has a good chance to do so, better than any other fighter out their and that includes martinez.

Well, I do think it will wind up being Guerrero, so maybe we'll get a chance to see. It's a good point about his volume. Also, I think Robert is a lot more flexible and skilled than people want to give him credit for, as you said. Could be kind of a Geale/Mundine thing, though obviously different in that Geale was at least a class above Mundine. But stylistically, Robert could just give him waves of punches with a lot of variety and just outscore him.  I didn't mean to say he has NO chance, I just don't think it's 40%, but we'll see.

Even if Spaddy still has it, which I'm very skeptical about, it doesn't matter. The point is that that the public and most of the press will see it as a gross mismatch and BBQ Floyd for making the fight.  And if he did anything less than pitch a shutout or get a KO, it would be seen as a huge failure on Floyd's part. There's no reason for him to take that fight. He could only lose in the public's eyes.

Maybe if Spaddy gets Pauly and then looks great against him, it'll open the window a crack.

They're already saying that kind of thing about Guerrero (that Floyd is handpicking an easy opponent), which is both unfair and foolish. But that's the perception.

i don't quite understand why Floyd is fighting Devon Alexander.  It's all about the money with him, and Devon couldn't draw flies to garbage.

Floyd WILL NEVER fight anyone who is a threat period. Guerrero is a threat for sure.

I stated earlier I belive guerrero has 40 percent shot to win this fight, after some more though and watching recent fights of the 2, I will now say that I am picking robert to win it..that is right you heard it here, floyd is a part time fighter, he has fought 6 times in the past 6 years, he will be out hustled and lose a decsion to the iron chined, volume punching guerrero, who has boxing skills as well,I belive robert is everything that an aging fighter does not want to face, roberts desire will be huge for him in this one and floyds lack of desire will cost him the fight,,guerrero by decision in a fight of the year type of fight.

thats a nice number - oddsmakers are razor sharp , line is set where it is for a reason, there are NO gifts given by ticket writers-
Looks like the classic scenario ------
    Whales on Floyd
    Smaller players on the ghost

actually, im going to middle the bet here in mexico. ive been doing this for four years and ive done well.

on a nuetral playing field i think that robert should be no more than a +250 as a high volume fighter can give floyd problems. you cant let mayweather dictate the pace of the fight. agree, it will be hard for guerrero to win a decision on a mayweather card in a mayweather tv ppv in a mayweather town and under a recently signed six-fight contract.

won 2000 in the last 3 weeks on college basketball, bet 1800 of it on gurerrero at +650, I am more than a little concerned though about the venue and the promotonal companies involved, I just hope robert gets a fair shake. if it is honest....I am 60 percent confident in a victory...floyd is ready to be taken, robert is the one that can do it.

robert it tough and will be coming to win, tall southpaw who is technical

but let me tell you, if he attemps to bullrush mayewather he will quickly find out Mayweather is a diff beast than Berto.  if he gets reckless he;s getting put down and hurt.  period.
