Lucas Martin Matthysse vs Devon Alexander

Close fight could have gone either way, Matthysse had a knockdown and if it was anywhere but St. Louis he probably wins. Can't believe one judge had it 96-93, there should be a rematch at a nuetral site.

I guess it was close, but matthysse landed all the power and landed a knockdown. I mean cmon. Poor guy has got screwed twice in a row and it is his only losses.

Again, I was rooting for devon

DannoDanger: I have to agree when fights are so close. Manny vs Juan II was a toss-up. Williams vs Martinez, Felix vs Oscar is another, and Oscar's wasn't much action, unlike Williams-Martinez brought. Fights like these is the reason you have a rematch. Either it's too close to be clear cut, or the original fight brought so much attention that a rematch would generate big money, or a fighter has a legitimate excuse for a bad performance (occasionly fighters like Marquez and other warriors fight even when sick with high temperatures, minor injuries, etc...).
