Juan-Ma dominating through five. 5-0, no doubt.   Penalosa is one tough cookie, but I still think the stoppage comes.

Freddie Roach would rather let his charge take 300+ power shots than let me win a bet.  JuanMa is landing more than 30 hard punches EVERY ROUND.  Last round he was 46 out of 100 power shots in the round.

Surely Freddie doesn't let Gerry take much of that type of beatdown he just got in round 6.

He landed 60+ power shots in that round.  Freddie is being irresponsible at this point.

I can't believe that Penalosa is absorbing this beat down.

What's the point?  If Roach didn't stop it there, he isn't going to.  When they find out in a couple of days that this guys has a brain bleed or something, they'll wish they stopped it four rounds ago.

I got nervous.  JuanMa had his worst round in a while.  I thought Freddie was going to let him go another.  Thank god.  I hope Penalosa comes out of this OK.

So glad Freddy stopped it. Penalosa...too tough for his own good.

Props to Roach!

This CompuBox "power shots" crap is so worthless. It's just a gimmick to sell to uninformed fans who can't judge a fight on their own. Non fans need a "scoreboard" to enjoy the fight, and they like the thought that some computer is keeping everything fair. Most of the "power shots" Juan was "landing" were marginal at best. If not, why was the little man not only still standing, but able to deliver crisp counters?

Excellent point.  Being so uninformed, I thought that JuanMa was blowing him out.  Upon further review, Penalosa was probably winning the fight, based on his crisp counters and JuanMa only landing marginal punches.

PS.  You're a dope.

You're just one of the sheep, dork. HBO loves brainless wonders like you who love POWER SHOTS!!!!! I'll bet you also liked the 3-D cutout that showed you EXACTLY where all those punches landed, too. What a pinhead.
