1.75 units on Sylvester (+115) vs Castillejo

Big night for me tonight and I'll definitely take a win headed into it.  Glen Johnson is really coming hard in these middle rounds, this fight is going to be tight.

If Dawson-Johnson is any indication of how the night will go then we are in for a special night.  Wow, Johnson is coming on like a freight train late, this fight is very close.  I wish he could have put Chad down in the 10th for a 10-8.

I have Johnson-Dawson 114-114 with Glen sweeping the last three rounds.  Let's see what the judges think.

Wow, 8-4 across the board for Dawson.  Come on, that's a shame.

On a side note, Gary Shaw is a fat turd.

Different class all together.  Like I said, toughness can only take you so far.  Can anyone say Quintana'esque?

Also had a $50 free play from 5Dimes, and parlayed Margarito (-300) and Cotto -12.5 pts handicap (-380) to win $34.21.

    GL to you

1 unit parlay to win .82
    Whitfield (-275)
    Margarito (-300)
1.1 unit on Tarver (-110) vs Woods
.5 of a unit on Tarver by decision (+200)
    .10 of a unit on Tarver-Woods Draw (+1900)

    The Big Boy
    5.6 units on under 9.5 rounds (-140) in Cotto-Gomez
    2.9 units on under 9.5 rounds (-145) in Cotto-Gomez

The donkey went missing this week.  Now that was a Saturday; Sylvester, Marg shutting the door, Tarver, and that huge five round Gomez beat-down. Still stand by everything I said going into that one.

Cheers to anyone who was on some of the same sides.  Hate to get greedy, but that Santana-Lopez draw would have made this week super memorable.  Huge week.

Won 10.23 units for the week.

    Wow,Tarver really finished that show.

Glen Johnson is still one of my favorites. How can one man lose so many close decisions?

Great job this weekend, FB!  The Cotto fight went exactly as you predicted -- he's just in another class (possibly the best P4P out there).

I have a question for boxeo if he's reading your thread: who are those other 4 predictors on his site?  They never write anything, and I was just wondering if they're made-up aliases that he uses as a type of hedge.

    Hey A2C,

The other team members on the site are indeed real. If I am trying to hedge a pick you will see it in my own plays.

Fantastic week, fullbrights. You wrote the script for that HBO card. I hope alot of people on this board tailed you and are counting their profits. I wish I was one of them.

Sorry, boxeo, I know that my question could have come across wrong.  I was just wondering who these guys are because some of their picks are weird.  I can't fathom how anyone would have put $$ on Cintron, and it's similarly strange for anyone to take Gomez.  I know that you took Gomez, so I guess there was some rationale for that one.  But is there any way for them to write a little blurb to support themselves when they deviate from you?  That might make your prediction section even better.

    Appreciate it guys.

I have a feeling 2008 turned a corner last weekend.

Hopefully everyone has a good week this weekend, though it appears there will be some disagreement on the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight.

fullbrights i like your style i can tell you put time and thought into your bets, but what do you see that will allow you to bet against your expertise..... Is it the value...... I am no where near a expert in boxing but i do know this fast paced style  let your hands go type of fighter will win alot of rounds on points and bernard will have to knock him out to win.... Bernard just don't have the punch output no more, but he is 11-0 against southpaws but calzaghe is even handed, so that edge just went out the door for hopkins...... I haven't took a bet yet i'm waiting till later in week.... Please educate me a little bit if you don't mind, I don't want to go against you and hopkins... but it seems like thats the way i am leaning.....

Go for it if that's the way you feel.  I just think the numbers on Hopkins are not indicative of how close this fight will be. I bet Calzaghe in his two closest fights odds wise against Lacy and Kessler so there is no Calzaghe hate here;  I just think there are some factors here that Hopkins has going for him.  Could Calzaghe win this fight on activity, yes, but I think Hopkins will negate his activity by controlling the distance and making the fight a bit sloppy.  I think Hopkins will land a bunch of straight counter rights inside Joe's wide punches and if the judges are truly judging "effective" aggressiveness this decision should be razor thin.  Also, don't ever underestimate GBP's backing of Hopkins and Calzaghe fighting outside of the friendly confines of the UK.  Also, I like the fact that Hopkins is working with Shilstone again if anything for the effect it should have on him mentally.  I may be off here, but that's my reasoning.
