Cotto had some stamina Problems in the Late Rounds with Mosley and barely won that Fight....I like Cotto to win by decision though myself...Should be a Good Fight either way

I see the fight as a toss up and don't see much value at betting on Cotto at -240. I believe Cotto to be the more versatile and intelligent fighter and that should earn him a very hard fought decision. I believe both fighters will have times when they are in trouble, but pride will not allow either fighter to be counted out.
GL tonight

Everyone wants to say Margarito is bigger, longer and stronger but Margarito only fights inside. That takes away from his advantages. He is going to try to make it a war with Cotto. Cotto is technically a lot better than Margarito. He will use his jab and body shots to control the fight. This has fight of the year written all over it but I know Cotto's people are not stupid enough to get in a slugging match with Margarito. Watch the clottey vs margarito match. Margarito struggled against Clottey. Cotto is a much better than Clottey. Margarito is very durable and that alone should get him to the final bell. I think it will be a close but CLEAR decision for COTTO. I would lay some on the prop that one of them will hit the canvas. But I really like Cotto to win this by decision
Cotto by decision
Clottey is at least 4 inches taller than Cotto. Even if he's not in the same class as Cotto, he didn't have the significant reach disadvantage Cotto must overcome tonight. Margarito's size advantage will help him get inside if he's able to jab with the smaller man.

I don't think Margarito was up for the unknown Clottey who had a loss on his record to Baldimor (by DQ). I don't base much on that fight. I also don't base much substance on how shitty Cotto looked at light welter.
I believe Cotto has the skills to beat Margarito but I believe Margarito will drag him into a slugfest.
Fighters from these nations are all about machismo-
Trinidad vs Vargas Gomez vs Sanchez/Pintor Chavez vs Rosario.
These fights all came down to someone imposing their will and taking their opponents heart.
If Cotto is smart, he boxes and wins on points. I believe the warrior spirit that is in his blood will force him to fight and in a FIGHT Margarito can take anyones heart including Cotto's.
We shall see.
YEE FUCKING HAA!!!!!

Also, nobody mentioned that Cotto was hurt by Judah, and several others who aren't hard punchers. Who exactly did Cotto ever fight that he didn't have to go looking for? What wars has he been in? This breaks down on how you think he will respond to the above questions.
You can say Cotto has stepped up and fought some tough fights as of late. However, you really have to dig deeper than just the names.
Mosley? Not exactly shot, but not in his prime. He didn't really have the pop to ever put Cotto in danger. The funny thing was he was out boxed by Cotto. That was the thing that was most impressive, IMO.
Judah - again had the speed and boxing ability to keep Cotto from blowing him out. Only problem was that we knew Judah wasn't going to stand up to him for the entire fight. This fight didn't do anything positive or negative on my opinion of Cotto. Ended as expected. Only shock was Judah hurting him early in the fight.
Malignaggi - never had a chance to stop Cotto. He did outbox Cotto down the stretch and the close outcome was a bit of a surprise.
All of these fighters have something in common - semi-slick boxers that don't have the power to test Cotto's chin that semi-exposed against Torres. Great job by the promoters to get that out of the public mind. I haven't forgot that fight, and I also could see right through the "big name" fights - there wasn't much risk when you boil it down.
Since playersonly has refunded my deposit because of some trouble with their payment processor, I now have $1500 to put on this fight. I will be going for the throat and putting whatever I can on Margarito ITD. It is monopoly money at this point, so screw it. I suggest Cotto backers really think hard about laying -240. An ITD Cotto play MAYBE.. but flat laying that chalk is a bit silly, imo.
If you have to gloat wee...check it
