Without having to work and slim down to meet Bryan at 168 pounds, I thought it was only fair to change the bout from a twelve round contest to a ten round attraction.”
Although most ringside observers wouldn’t think a ten round stipulation would make much of a difference on fight night, the experienced trainer insists that the abridged contest will make a big difference in terms of pace and strategy.
“With the added weight limit of 173 pounds, it really doesn’t change our strategy one bit…but the shortened rounds most certainly will change his,” states Ronnie Shields. “We’re really going to find out if Chavez is in fight shape with the contest being ten rounds. Chavez is traditionally a slow starter, but he’ll really have to work at a much faster pace than he wants to in order to win a ten round fight.”

Chavez JR sucks but Vera is complete utter garbage. Best case scenario for Vera is he survives the full 10 rounds while enduring the worst beating of his life.
Vera has broken down some fighters in the past, but those fighters didn't weigh 191 lbs and have a granite chin.
Vera is outgunned and dare I say outclassed. Chavez JR has an extremely leaky defense but compared to Vera he's Willie Pep. Vera has zero chance. ZERO!
Having said that I wish Vera the best of luck. I hope he retires Chavez JR.

jr ko'd lee in seven which is his best win to date.
took the first three off and then proceeded to double his output in the next four in a twelve round fight.
fighting in a ten rounder there is a good chance that he wont take off the first three and go right into throwing 50 punches a round and ktfo vera early.

i generally avoid him but dont take too kindly when somene calls me a "dope."
what kind of person takes a play that is universally acknowledged as a gimmie(floyd/canelo) and turns a winning night into a losing one(making his play on floyd by ko)?
i ended up having a very, very small action play on floyd ko(after the line was foolishly bought down to +400 on pinnacle and closing at +500)but like most rationale people had floyd simply to win.
no experienced gambler would ever have made his whole play on a prop bet.

His statement about the prop bet in vegas proves he didn't bet as apparently he is not aware of how Nevada Commission oversees and Las Vegas's sportsbooks are run. I'd Prop bet he never has been to Vegas.
Maybe in a previous post he made a wager that was in A.C.( and stated he bet it in Las Vegas... They don't allow wagers outside Nevada for Boxing. I wanted to bet Cotto at MGM Bellagio and they posted the odds, but said they don't offer wagers outside the Nevada State Commission.
I'm not sure if that is still true as this was about half a decade ago, but Vegas is a joke for real sports bettors. Online and offshore offer much more. The risk is that you might not get paid... you have no legal right to claim. I've had problems, but never stiffed. I used maybe 30 offshore sportsbooks since 1999. WSEX and Sportsbook were my first ofthe few starters.

Apologive about Brian Vera now you disrespectul punk. Brian Vera showed as much heart from a fighter as I've ver seen and was robbed blind. Give him some respect, I don't care that I lost my bet. Brian Vera is a true champion and fighter.
