Boxing is now officially dead

You won't see a better performance than what Mayweather gave tonight. As much as I despise the man, tonight's performance by Floyd is about as close as you get to THE perfect boxing performance. Anyone that tells you different is either lying or doesn't know anything about boxing. 143 connected punches to manny's 86. Money made Manny look almost second rate. I'd hate to see a rematch because Manny was just so out-classed. Even more than how Maidana was outclassed.

Manny was to hesitant too engage when he had a chance too....He needed to throw the weird angle punches like he did against Cotto.......And there will be a rematch....too much money to not to do it.....but Floyd clearly outboxed him.....Now you are smoking too much to say Maidana was a better opponent than Manny......

My bad. It was Floyds 148 hits to manny's 81. Close to twice the amount. That is huge. And yet Manny had the gall to say he thought he'd won it. I think he's reaching just to get another shot that I don't think anyone would really want to see after tonight's 'almost' exhibition performance by Money.

Well if we could get the figures on Maidana's total connected punches compared to Moneys, I think you'll find Maidana may have faired better. But in reality, Mayweather did make Manny look about as menacing as Maidana was, which wasn't much.

If mayweathers style defines what boxing is...then yes..it sets it back 10 years..not mayweathers fault but why would the newbie casual fan who was exposed to boxing 1st time tonight be excited about boxing after watching this fight. It's bad because Manny is an exciting fighter..but Floyd's style made this a boring fight.
Mayweather bet 450000 on

Are you a Mayweather hater ? or
you lost money on Pacquiao?
Mayweather is a tactician
It's difficult to fight Mayweather
Usually he figured out his opponent after 4 rounds but tonight he was ready for Pacquiao since Round # 1

If you were looking for a brawl you won't get it with Mayweather
I'd recommend MMA
Fight was not boring . You sound like a disappointed Pacquiao fan
Never easy to fight Mayweather

So basically he's a smart....technically sound...defensive boxer. That's what I gathered from those explanations. He knows how to win rounds and takes advantage of it. He's not a great fighter IMO (Fighter...not Boxer)

I understand Mayweather is a greatly skilled boxer and he won easily. I just think after this fight boxing is over. Mayweather will fight one more time then retire. After this fight Pacquiao is a joke so noone will care to watch him anymore and who else is out there that will get any draw from casual people not hardcore boxing fans?

Mayweather made way more than that...also agree the sport is dying, a lot corrupt decisions have pushed people away from it...besides triple G, no boxer really excites me like before.

Floyd did give Pacquaio a boxing lesson though, controlled the range and manny kept walking into his jab....he is right that manny got smacked but being a rude cocky chump just takes away all your credibility.

I hoped Manny would win but Mayweather is too good.
Is boxing dead? I don't think so. There won't be another superfight like this until there are some new characters as these guys are done but when there's a new super hero/villian it'll come back. I do strongly doubt the next stars will be Americans though.

All Mayweather talks about is it's about me, and it's about $
His fights have been this way for a long time-boring sparring sessions
But, people get fooled into paying big $ to watch his fights. And they'll get fooled into watching the next one.
