GGG has no chance vs Ward. Zero. GGG has practically said as much. Recently said verbatim "Ward is too much for me right now." There isn't anyone out there between 160-175 who can realistically beat Ward. Only possibility is Kovalev. That's it. And he loses to Ward too.

Yeah, Zaga.. I do.. and I don't think I'm the only one on the planet that actually would.. Now would I bet against Ward? I might, for the right price. Does GGG have a chance? F*ck yes I think he does.. especially if Ward decides to trade, which I don't think he would 'cause any moron with 2 eyes can see GGG has legitimate power in BOTH hands. Trading with him is practically asking for a sleeping pill. 

Think of this:  Andre Ward made a career of beating international fighters in the amateurs.. and he's undefeated as a pro (same as GGG).  Why a fight with another decorated amateur seems uninteresting to you and even a "raping" is mindboggling. These two are cut from the same mold, just from different parts of the world.  The differences in class and style make this fight even MORE compelling. This has epic match-up written all over it.  If your quote is correct, then GGG is basically saying he's too much for me "right now". Which implies that it won't be forever.. which translates into confidence.. and a fight for the ages..

I'm telling you.. this is a real fight.. it's too bad we don't allow 15 round fights cause this one will leave you wanting more at the final bell. 

anyway.. I'd take GGG if I got a good return on the price.. I would settle for +175 and take a good shot at it..

Danno:  Well, I can understand since his style isn't the most crowd pleasing.. but he is very good at what he does, which is part of the game.. I think GGG could bring out another element in Ward's arsenal, the puncher.. that's why I want to see this fight.. I want to see Ward in a real fight for once..

Fellas. GGG is a little dude. Ward has fought light heavyweights. You really think GGG hits harder than Froch? He doesn't. Ward would mug GGG. Golovkin is a middleweight. Ward is too big. Too fast. Too crafty. Too good defensively. Too everything. Not a hard fight for Andre. Kovalev is much bigger and stronger than GGG. By far a much tougher fight. Ward beats Golovlin EASILY.

hey raz... no doubt about what you are saying. GGG is a lot smaller but all in all he would give Ward a test. But it is not going to happen. GGGs opponents  have been of the safe type up till now and his management would not hook him up with a ward fight. There is more easy money out there. don't really know who out there for Ward.

Golovkin is still being built up by his promoters. They could make much more money if they keep the hype train rolling. And Ward needs to get back in the ring ASAP! He's accumulating rust and wasting his prime years. The casual fan has completely forgot about him. And yet I'm sure he feels he deserves the bigger portion of the pot even though he failed to take advantage of his new found appeal after winning the Super Six tournament. Ward messed up big time. His devout religious beliefs make him feel everything will be alright - somebody needs to tell him with no uncertainty that he's ruining his career by being so picky and demanding with negotiations. He wants to be the A side everytime, but that takes time and consistency unless you have a built in fanbase which he doesn't have.

Fight wont happen for at least 2 years. Ward would easily win this fight no contest.  GGG wants to fight Cotto, if Cotto is smart he'd avoided that fight until after he fights Canelo in May.  In the meantime if they (Cotto or Canelo) don't fight GGG, GGG shouldn't wait around. Go after the other title holders, Quillin or Soliman. Pick up another belt.

Scratch that. Forgot  Cotto has a mandatory fight with Rubio, then he's probably gonna fight Canelo cinco De mayo 2015. In the mean time GGG should clean out the division. Fight Soliman(IBF) in November. From there fight #1 WBA contender Chudinov in March, Kid Chocolate(WBO) in July, then finish the year with the winner of Cotto v Canelo(WBC/Ring)

you know since you brought up all these names a Canelo vs. GGG would be Big. I agree with Mofo Ward got to get crackin on some fights. Time will go by and he could become irrelevant. Really he isn't even talked about at this stage anyway. By the time he fights anyone that is good you would have to wonder about the layoff.

 

GGG would take it to kid chocolate in a totally one sided fight. I'd like to see that considering how good Kid chocolate thinks he is. He got his rating beating bums.

You guys need to slow the heck down on this Andre Ward lovefest. The fact remains the guy can't really break an egg and a guy like Kovalev would walk in without fear of getting damage. GGG on a lighter version but would still walk through Wards lack of offense. GGG will beat Ward. Kovalev will destroy Ward.  Andre Ward has not earned the right to be considered great.

I don't think it really matters WHO GGG fights, ever, cause the marketing on GGG seems to be that he'll GUARENTEE a good fight, and promise you a night of "fighting" not "dancing".

So even in a loss he's gonna bring a great show.. which is something people can appreciate..

So as far as his career is concerned it will be more about finding him big fights, as opposed to career-friendly fights..

I think GGG is about ready to headline a big PPV event.. and it will be a sizeable event.. and you can thank him for that cause learing the English language is a REAL B*TCH.. from what I've read... the fact he took the time to do so is just remarkable.. the guy wants to be the BEST.. and he'll do whatever it takes to be the best.. in this case even learn a completely new and difficult language.. and I must say.. his English is coming along quite nicely.. I am seriously impressed.. Cause not even Juan Manuel Marquez took time to learn the English language better.. though his fan base was so strong that he probably didn't have to..

And Andre Ward is setting either us up for a big "you musta forgot moment" or setting himself up for a "hubris" moment.. we'll see.

There is a lot of probability to your remarks.. thanks.. personally I kinda want to him and Kid Chocolate tangle.. Kid Chocolate annoys me for some reason..his way of cockiness bugs me so I'd like watch him get punched in the face by GGG..

 

This is actually a decent plan.. As long as he lands either the Cotto or Canelo fight he'll be happy cause that at least a $$3-5 million payday.  I hope both guys don't be the tar out of another cause the winner will be less inclined to fight.. thanks!!!!!

One additional thought.This isn't Canelo following a guy around all night. GGG knows how to cut off a ring. He would beat Mayweather too.

The knockout of Daniel Geale was not a total surprise in light of the record of Kos by Gennady Golovkin. The exception being this was against a previous champion and closed the door on avoiding Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin “Triple G” in the future.

I'll admit, the guy does look like a real Badass, but I've always been suspect of guys with these high KO %s.. I always felt like these guys can be beaten easily if you can just bring them to deep water/the later rounds.. If you have the skill to keep it close with Kovalev and carry him to the 10 round and on, I think Kovalev can be beaten..
