Hey Milk. Wondered where you been.
Gotta disagree with ya on this one. Cotto might be too strong.

Been laying low playing beaver ball and bases here and there but pretty much just building what little profit I could get before the NBA season begins again. I hope you've been doing well.

With a 34(w)-1(l)-27(ko) yeah that looks so clean. But after losing to Margarito and going distance against Clottey, I believe this man won't have his way going against the PacMan.

No Manny is not KOing Cotto. Cotto is a warrior with tremendous heart. Manny has power as we know but does he have the power to knockout a legitmate Welterweight with a rock solid chin....

I don't think so. Yes Margarito Ko'd Cotto but that was a Intense fight and Manny wont be able to apply the same kind of relentless pressure that Mararito did because he doesnt have the size and strength of Margarito..

This fight wll be closer then a lot of people think and I wouldn't recommend laying the juice on Pacquaio when with 1 round to go Press row has it even and laying a huge amount on pacman won't look to good then, although I do expect him to win the fight....

By FAR the safest and most reliable play here is the Over 9.5 Rounds.....

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, ROCK solid CHIN and Miguel Cotto in the same sentence?

I feel Cotto will do better than most people think, but personally I believe ARUM knows Cotto is damaged goods. We all know what Margarito did to him, and Clottey was there to "WIN" but not win. Cotto was done in the Clottey fight.

So Cotto's warrior mentality lives on to fight another day, we all know Cotto is on the decline and on his way out. If Cotto can survive past the 4th it will be a very good fight.

Again this is MY opinion ONLY, some may feel Cotto is better than before... or worse.. this is just one posters opinion.

Rich think about how many shots on the button Cotto has taken and NOT gone down. Zab Judah, Clottley, Ricardo Torres(I know he knocked down Cotto) and others have laid big shots and Cotto and in the main he has taken them. I see alot of things going with Cotto but punch resistance is not one of them..I don't think Manny has the power to KO him.

    Rich: Cott finished? Come on.
Personally, I doubt if this fight happens. But if it does, Pac will find one tuff amigo in front of him.

why do you always think fights won't happen when in most cases all they have to lose is millions of dollars

especially bob arum who is the promoter

This fight will happen just like Mayweather and Pac-Man

I do not have a winner yet but i will lay out a few things i have noticed.

In Cotto last fight he was there for the taking.   It seems that the loaded gloved cheating Margarito took a big piece out of Cotto. Cotto should of lost that fight with clottey, but clottey did not have enough pressure in the last 3 rounds.

Cotto has a energy problem once he gets past the 6th round.  Review his last 3 fights and you will notice it. The big question mark for manny is Can he take Cotto power. If he can , or if someone can enlighten me on past manny fights where he has taken a big punchers Punch, please let me know...  Because if  manny can take cotto power then cotto will lose. They both are signed to bob arum so That edge goes to manny because Cotto contract is almost up and word in boxing circles is that he may bolt, So the judges may sway manny way, Just a thought.

Also for the last 3 fights Cotto stock has been downtrending, while mannys has been on the uptrend, and as we all know, momentum in sports is so psychological and a Hugh Advantage.

These are just some thoughts in my head.

I agree his problem is "holding on" he doesn't know what to do when he's hurt. Personally is career would have been over when Ricardo Torres had him out on his feet MANY times.

If it wasn't for Cotto's name any other ref would have stopped that fight.

Cotto gets ROCKED by CLEAN shots, he may not fall but he is lifeless once he gets hit.

The times he did get rocked, he hit people with low blows (Torres,Zab Juddah, and Clottey he slammed to the Floor and HIT behind the head and a low blow).

Margarito he didn't have to do anything dirty he was winning the fight until he couldn't use his feet anymore.

Cotto has zero defense, when he shines is when his offense IS his defense.

I agree with the other poster, check out his STAMINA, even in the Mosley fight was it round 9? He came out gassed and looked as if the fight was over.

Clottey he was gassed, and ready for the taking, Maragrito he was so gassed he gave up.. (regardless of the gloves) he has NO stamina left).

His defense is getting worse, and it couldn't afford to get any worse than before. Add his stamina.. LESS head movement.. you have a sitting duck.. writing is on the wall.

Cotto's best shot is BULLYING a smaller man than "box him" as he cannot keep up with Manny.

Remember Cotto is a body puncher, when was the last time you seen Manny hit with a BODY punch? Maybe as far back as Marquez.

Manny is a quick burst inside fighter, 1-2 combo and OUT. Cotto NEEDS to use his psychical strength on Pac-man.

I feel Cotto is done and that's why Bob Arum put them together, Cotto's free gift was the Clottey fight which he knows he lost. That fight alone shows people "Cotto was done".

All Clottey had to do was step on the pedal, and Cotto was done we all know it.

This is still a STEP UP for Pac-man as Cotto does still have his hand speed and power.

I have a feeling Cotto will be chasing a ghost that night, and it won't be the ghosts of Maragrito or Clottey it will be the ghost called Pac-man.

I cannot find a chinese proverb for this so I'm making my own.

    Cotto Finished- Cotto Toast :)

Yes I say finished, he's a beaten fighter without a doubt Cotto is a tough fighter but NOT the same fighter from 2 years ago.

His head movement is NON existent, all he has left is power and hand speed. His defense is worse than ever.

None can ever say Cotto is NOT tough he is, reminds me of a rocky movie, but this is real life.. and the man has taken many shots  some brutal ones over the past few years.

Will be a good fight regardless.. but I like Pac-man in this. He's in his prime.. and I FEEL Cotto is declining rather quickly.

Also Rich, Cotto camp is unstable. Fired his longtime trainer, usually as history shows, that is not a good thing. He will be a different fighter going forward, plus on the decline. I will  either pass on fight or take manny, or the over....

The over is the best play in this fight..Trust me. I do not feel comfortable taking Pacman at that price against a very good figther who will have at LEAST a 10 pound advantage on the night. Cotto isn't Hatton (over rated, ill disciplined) or De Le Hoya (weight drained, past it). He is a Legitimate, top class Welterweight. He has had one loss and that is disputed considering the Marg gloves fiasco.

Yes he is not as good as he was and he is there to be hit but I COMPLETELY disagree with Rich saying Arum made this fight because he knows Cotto's star is done. He has made it because he is going to make a truck load of money and this is the kind of fight both boxers will look great when its all said and done. Its a complete win win situation.

You have got 2 proud warriors with a massive support base and tons of heart who are way more evenly matched then many people think.
There is no way this goes under. Cotto won't be charging in like Hatton and he will fight a cagey fight for the first few rounds as these guys will respect each other massively. They will take their time feeling each other out. And even if Pacman hits he won't get a KO until the last 2 rounds of the fight and I am sure he won't even get the KO.

I expect Pacman to win but taking that price is oh so risky. This fight will be in the balance come round 10 and I would not want to have alot of money riding on the pacman at these odds against.

I recommended Pacman at odds against v Hatton but not here. If you follow Rich you will probably win but I'd rather invest in a safer secure play with better odds...

A lot of boxing fans are expecting a Hagler/Hearns type war. I don't see it that way at all. I'm sure this is going over...I will play the over 9.5 rounds and will also play on fight going to a Pacman decision..

5 star bet Fight goes over 9.5 rounds +120
1 star bet Pacman by decision +420

Hey crazy- even Manny by KO  a person is laying Chalk now.. :)

I hope everyone knows Cotto was HAND picked to show off Pac-man's  SPEED.

Cotto needs to be set to land his power shots, kind of hard since Pac-man is like a bouncing pin-ball.

The fight may be one sided, hey only 54.95 and 64.95 (in HD). And $10 extra we get to see Pac-man perform with his band. (okay no charge for that).
