The Blazers return to their home court down 0-2 to the Warriors in the Western Finals, but all hope is not lost. Portland is currently a 2.5-point home favorite and Golden State will once again be without Kevin Durant with no timetable set for his return.

We break down the NBA betting odds for this matchup and give our predictions and best bets for Saturday night’s Game 2 of the Western Finals between the Warriors and Trail Blazers.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS AT PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS (-2.5, 221.5)

Warriors lead series 2-0
Series price: Warriors -2,000/Trail Blazers +1,000

QUICK HITTER

The Blazers have been a much better team at home and than on the road and have gotten out to quick starts all season long on at the Moda Center, notching 30 first quarter points per game. However, the Warriors are the only team in the Association to average over 30 first quarter points at home and on the road, averaging 30.8 away from Oracle Arena. Look for both offenses to come out firing resulting in a high scoring opening frame.

PREDICTION: First quarter total Over 57

FIRST HALF BET

The average score at halftime in the most recent three games between the Warriors and Blazers has been 58-55 in favor of Portland. In the last game at the Moda Center between these two, 125 points were scored at the half with both teams eclipsing 60 points each. It is imperative the Blazers get out to a good start as the Warriors have already shown in this series no lead is safe.

PREDICTION: Trail Blazers first half moneyline (-176)

TEAM/PLAYER PROP

Klay Thompson has been careless with the ball this postseason recording two or more turnovers in three straight games and eight of the most recent 10 postseason games. But he has logged big minutes playing no less than 37 throughout that stretch. In the opening game the Warriors had 21 turnovers, and although they cleaned it up in Game 2, they still had 16. Playing big minutes can often lead to mistakes, and the Warriors have shown to be prone to making some in this series already.

PREDICTION: Klay Thompson Over 1.5 turnovers

FULL GAME TOTAL

The Over has hit in five of the last seven Blazers’ games, and 11 of the last 13 times when these two teams meet up at the Moda Center. In the first two games in the Western Finals, the Warriors have shot above 50 percent from the field in both. While Portland seemingly found their offense in Game 2 with help from their bench who logged big minutes, and two starters in CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard who scored 22 or more points. Look for the Warriors to continue to shoot well and the Blazers to have success on their home court.

PREDICTION: Over 221.5

FULL GAME SIDE

To say this is a must win for the Blazers is an understatement. They have played well at home all season posting a 37-10 record on their home court and have not disappointed as favorites posting a 47-12 straight up record when laying points. They have also won 13 of their most recent 14 home games and we expect them to get their first win in the third round of the postseason.

PREDICTION: Trail Blazers moneyline (-131)
