Somebody want to explain to me, in plain English (probably not easy to do), why you can only bet PARLAYS in Deleware?

What's the significant difference between a 3-team NFL parlay, and picking a single game?

It seems so utterly ridiculous.

I mention this as their neighbors in New Jersey are coming up on a ruling......

Actually, you can bet teasers in DE. They are 3 teamers at a min. though.  This was based off an old law from a previous time when they offered parlay card only betting.  Interestingly, they shut it down because players were taking the stale lines and pounding them on the cards.  The Governor tried to change the law to allow single game betting but the state court said no.  It's pretty f'ed how they have these nice lines boards that sit idle for all but the NFL.

From what I hear it's a big success.  They've rolled it out to bars, and bars have picked up business bigtime.

I'm certain in the New Jersey gambling law passed it would help Atlantic City, which is struggling bigtime.

It's a no-brainer.

I am very sure that the brainless legislators voted no to NJ sports betting.
