This is my dream matchup:
Hillary vs Marco Rubio. By 2015, Rubio will be well known because he's already running right now. He'll deliver the Republican rebuttal to Obama's SOTU speech.
Strengths:
Hillary is a veteran who knows how to campaign effectively. She's been around the block and her husband is the most popular ex-president. He will obviously go to bat for her like he did for Obama. Since women vote more than men, Hillary will surely win the women's vote. Her popularity is on the rise, except amongst conservatives.
Rubio is a rising star in the party that desperately needs one. He's Hispanic and would be the first-ever Hispanic on a presidential ticket. Unlike Hillary, he hasn't been around the block too many times and that may work well for him.
Weaknesses:
Hillary is getting old. And 3 years from now, she will look older and not have as much energy. When she announced she was resigning from Secretary of State, she said she needed to go take a long nap. Conservatives will surely bring up Vince Foster, Benghazi and any other stupid scandal that will probably backfire.
Rubio may be Hispanic, but he's Cuban Hispanic. Many Mexican Americans aren't particularly fond of Cubans and Mexican Americans are the vast majority of the Hispanic vote. Rubio is a Republican at a time when the party seems out of touch.
That's my prediction. It's a long ways till 2016, what's your matchup?
