Definitely agree with Vietnam being a much bigger mistake. Forgive me but I wasn't alive back then. I have to think that Bush is far and away the worst second term President ever. I guess that doesn't say much for John Kerry does it? lol.
Like I said earlier though, Bush could have balanced the budget all he wanted in his second term. It wouldn't bring back the lives that were lost in Iraq. He is the epitome of war mongering(even if he was most likely a puppet for Cheney). We had no business going there and they instilled the fear necessary in our psyche to support going over there.
I admit I am pretty young and maybe this has been going on for a while, but I trusted the Government right up until it came out that our reasons for invading Iraq were essentially lies. Not only that but we don't need to police the world, that shouldn't be our role/job. |
