#1 Posted: 7/26/2012 9:26:32 AM looks like the flipmaster in chief is at it again. finding yet another way to flip flop on another wedge issue.
back in Massachusetts Romney enacted an assault weapons ban as governor of Massachusetts said AR-15 assault rifles used in the
Colorado shooting were "instruments of destruction with the sole purpose
of hunting down and killing people."
but now when Flip Romney is running for president ....he doesn't want to change any national laws on assault weapons....he just wants to change the hearts of the bad guys so they don't do it again...
jesus, does this guy stand for ANYTHING?????

#3 Posted: 7/26/2012 10:10:13 AM He's taking the same stance he is with healthcare which isn't flip flopping.
He has stated before that what is good for Mass. may not be good for the rest of the country.
I personally don't agree with state run healthcare or a weapons ban (non fully-automatic rifles) but the people of Mass. do and he gave them what they wanted.
Every politician has their own beliefs (abortion, healthcare, 2nd amendment) but they can meet their constituents in the middle without compromising their beliefs.
He is the type of politician people are always asking to have. Reaching across the aisle and working with the other party. That is why conservatives are leery. |

that is mitt in a nutshell. he has no core. he has no soul. he will smash his own beliefs because it is what he thinks will get him elected. if you stand for everything you stand for nothing.
that is not a leader. that is an opportunist silver spooner with daddy competition issues.

pathetic.

As usual, there is never any thought process or grade school comprehension in your posts! No one has to join the Armed Forces, it's optional, like College, you don't have to go if you don't want too! Unlike you however, you're too dumb to go to College, and have become a waste to Society, as we can see!! |

#6 Posted: 7/26/2012 10:46:29 AM he also quadrupled the state firearm license fee from $25.00 to $100.00. In 2002 he stated " we do have tough gun laws in Mass. i support them. I won't chip away at them. I believe they protect us and provide for our safety." |

#7 Posted: 7/26/2012 11:00:28 AM The question is really what is the role of the politician -- to try to mold his policies to what HIS beliefs are versus to mold his policies to what his CONSTITUENTS' beliefs may be.

On topic, of course Mitt is gripping for votes and you think he wants to piss off the right side gun fans?
He is such a phony, fits right in with the establishment. |

WSC why do you have to make excuses and warn off slim for merely pointing out to you AGAIN that you're not calling balls and strikes the same for everyone?
No question that stiln is far worse than slim when it comes to bashing, yet you mysteriously think otherwise.
Please call balls and strikes the same for both teams.

I agree with post #3
I highly disagree with your conclusion.
The reality is the style might be different but the output is probably more slanted to one side than you realize.
Best to not provoke yourself bowls, you are biased as you say I am and your conclusion is way off the mark.
There are many ways to bash and antagonize, you obviously are either not looking or are not in tune with how some members play the game..

That guy has 34 posts and is likely an alias of some kind.... no?
Why are you so attached to this forum. These discussions are entertaining more than anything. But you and bowlfuck and others like to think these threads are an example of ones intellectual prowess.
Newsflash!!!! They are not!

son?
Biases run in all directions, and the length of history here is pretty long with SEVERAL posters..
What you are asking is based on not seeing all of history and all of the players here.
Some people know how to operate differently and most all have plenty of involvement..so what you see in a thread or two or five is not at all representative of the full story.

No, a lack of post counts does not make a member an alias..... he has the same born on date as you..Dec 2010..just less posts ..
I don't think it was what he posted in this thread ..that got him boxed anyway...he probably was on a hit list for what he posted 10 days ago... |
