The gunman in the racially charged Trayvon Martin killing once criticized local Florida cops for allegedly covering up the beating of a black homeless man.
George Zimmerman’s comments at a public forum came a year before he shot the black teen at close range — but his supporters will seize on them as evidence he is not racist.
He spoke out in January 2011 after a video of a white cop’s son beating the black victim went viral — without an arrest being made.
“I would just like to state that the law is written in black and white,” Zimmerman said during the meeting. “It should not and cannot be enforced in the gray for those who are in the thin blue line.”
He demanded that Sanford repeal the pension of then-police chief Brian Tooley for what Zimmerman called “his illegal coverup in corruption,” according to a tape obtained by The Associated Press....

They have no integrity at all...zero. And zero common sense as well.
What could Zimmerman have to gain from ratting out the cop? He would have known that he would be forever black balled from ever becoming a peace officer.
I predict crickets on this one.

so if you did something decent in the past you are allowed to shoot someone?
and if you are going to insult me at least learn to spell.
You need a role model.
If someone is trying to smash your head into the sidewalk and wont stop and has already broken your nose then you may use deadly force to defend yourself.
Comparing a person who arguably did or did not defend himself to hitler shows a profound lack of intellect, yea, even below the intellect of our famous myspace member....who coincedently agrees with you on many issues.

wow. impressive. not one mention of unions.
i guess zimmerman should be my role model. let's see....resisting officer with violence, battery of law enforcement officer, restraining order filed against him, domestic violence. oh and shooting a kid.
good call. zim is in!

Bowl, I was guessing. None of us can understand what was going through Zim's mind. But him self proclaiming himself neighborhood watch, calling 911 over 40 plus times, carrying a weapon just to go to the store. This all seems to me like he is either already on edge or he is looking for an altercation. I dont know much about Sanford, but it's either a dangerous area or this guy is just looking for a reason to exercise his self given authority.
While I am all for the second amendment, I don't think Zim needs a gun to go to the store. I don't think he needs to confront people walking down the street. I don't think he is qualified to determine if someone is on drugs or not, especially marijuana.
What I do know is that Martin didn't deserve to die that day.

14, if Zimmerman had just let the police do their jobs Martin would still be alive today as well. I didn't know walking down the street with THC in someone's system justified having someone randomly confront you. I definitely didn't know punching someone is deserving of the death penalty. How do you know it was a sucker punch? We know for sure that Martin just punched Zim with no provocation on Zim's part? Are there witnesses backing this statement? Because if there are then this case should be completely settled already .

First off, people that carry concealed weopons carry most of the time. They don't just say, well I'm going to Target so I better strap up.
Second, I agree with you that Trayvon didn't deserve to die that day. But Zimmerman didn't deserve to have his nose broken or had his head pounded into the ground either. I believe that Trayvon just jumped to conclusions and should have let up when he heard Zimmerman screaming for help.
I said before that I'm no shrink but I have noticed one thing in my 40 years of existence. If a person is pushed around or being beat up they do one of 3 things.
Fight back.
Scream for help.
Take the punishment.
I believe that since Zimmerman is a screamer, combined with the lack of evidence that shows no harm done to Trayvon (other than the gunshot) (fucking idiot you know who you are) shows that Zimmerman wanted nothing to do with a physical confrontation.
Oh ya, plus the fact that he sounded terrified on the 911 call talking about Trayvon coming over to check him out.
I believe that if a person chooses to carry a concealed weopon we shouldnt tell them where and when they should carry other than a few obvious places.
Bottom line is Trayvon is just as culpable for what happened as Zimmerman for not letting up when Z was screaming for help.

You're not a deep thinker are you?
If you would have done your homework you would know the circumstances of the alleged assault of a ATF officer who never identified himself as such until after the altercation.
Domestic violence is pretty much legalized hearsay but then again you probably ignored the story of Trayvons burglary tools and being caught with 17 items of womens jewelery too.

I know you have seen the stories since you are obsessed with this.
I did not read any other threads in your thread, just the title, which reminded me of how black and white you see this and the world.
There is a possibility that Zimmerman is a racist who killed Martin with malice aforethought.
There is a possibility that Zimmerman is completely innocent who was in legitimate fear for his life when he shot Martin.
There is also a middle ground between both of these trains of thought.
I can say all of the above. Do you know why you can't?
Also remember that EVERY time you have tried to paint me with the 5 ft brush you have NEVER came out without having your hair messed up. For what its worth, I bet you part your hair in the middle too.
Myself with a few others have faded the public on this one. Even though you fiercely deny who you've sided with, you only argue with those of us that have faded the public.
I suspect there is a little racism in most people. I have been known to laugh at a racist joke or two but ALWAYS treat everyone around me according to the golden rule.
I have seen no credible link or story about Zimmerman being undeniably racist.

you do realize that you completely ignored the very simple question he asked you? heaven forbid you actually take the time to read what someone said and respond.

Zimmerman did not "randomly confront" Martin.
Given that there is no evidence to contradict Zimmerman's account and injuries, I'm going to go ahead and assume it was a sucker punch.
