I will have to agree with TheGoldenGoose there needs to be two controllers on duty at the same time ..One to do the controlling and one resting or sleeping ...so he can relief the other one when it's his turn to take a nap ...

Maybe they just need to take away the reservations given to supervisors ...if he is saying the reason was because he was working four consecutive night shifts ...and the day and afternoon shifts are probably busier ..rotate the shifts with no reservations given to supervisor...
