Obama administration transparancy....

His politics are not the subject of this post.  Whether I agree or you agree is not the subject of this post.
 
It is my opinion that because of things like the website above, and other clues - I think that if you want to know what is going on in the presidential administration that info will be more accessable than ever.  I think the Obama administration will continue to communicate directly through websites and I just get the feeling that we will get a glimpse in to things that maybe we havent before.
 
Unlike previous administrations where you seem to not know anything on the inside - I just get the feeling that information and the process will be much more transparant to the average joe in the future.

the 25 agenda items obama had on there a few days ago are wiped out. those were his plans on how to handle different situations copied from his barackobama.com site. now that he has a look at the books and his first national security briefing i would think things wont be able to change as he would like

My point was that I think Obama might be the first president to do Youtube uploads of his day, and keep a blog.

He's definately trying to "connect" with the constituency.  People dig that stuff and it's the first step towards establishing optimism and whatever trust is left of the Government.
 
Priorities will no doubt change once he gathers all the intel but that's okay.

This is probably a 15 yard penalty but worth it....

You always laugh at my observations but they are spot on.
 
Carter was straight up.  Not very dynamic or charming but he was a straight shooter.  Not USA but foreign countries respected him.

a good portion of that age group is either in school or has entry level positions...so they pay very little in taxes

Can KOAJ even post 1 time without mentioning taxes. In all my life I have never seen as much of a one issue person as him. He cares not about anything else or anyone else, only his own tax liability and it's sad. My guess is that he would vote for Bin Laden as Prez if Bin would reduce taxes for Koaj. I havent seen anyone that cheap since Jack Benny, but at least he was funny.

No doubt this admin will be more accessible & transparent than the Bush one, but that's a pretty low bar. My feeling is it will be so as much as possible which will be a breath of fresh air in itself.
 
 Despite any policy differences one might have down the road, it's cool to have a vital, bright guy in that has alot of obvious natural class & grace and IMO will not care near as much about his popularity polls as being truthful as to the state of the nation as it really is & doing what he thinks is best to improve it.

agree completely.and the last part is the most important. Be truthful as to the state of the nation.  Rather than sugar coat our situation, be real about it. it will be hard to be honest, but THAT's what we need. honesty, transparency, accountability  sounds good

be easy - despite what you or i and a few others like rooster may understand to be truth, 97% of the country wants no part of truth. if they knew and if they understood, they would storm the capitol and remove about 530 of the 535 and throw them into the potomac
