Since I probably will be checking out after tonight I'll lose the remainder of my funds on my favorite team and my favorite pitcher.
New York - 6                 Minnesota - 2
Yankees ML            under 8.5
Betting $300 to win $300 on the Bombers who have been dropping duds lately.  Be ready to pay $360 if Mussina gets rocked.

With the away team being favored and the public liking that team i elect to take the under in this game. At the same time teams usually respond well to being shut out, and the Yankees are no exception. After shut out losses they scored 6,7,6,4,4,9,8, which averages out to 6.2 runs, so I also like the Yankees team total to go over 4.5 (So Colonel it's obvious that you have done your homework).

Public all over the yanks, line has moved quite a bit too. However since the yanks have lost 4 straight i'm reluctant to go against them here.
 
Normally though with this type of public betting and line movement I could easily justify a Twins bet. But like I said the Yanks are nearing desperate times and I can't go against them tonight.

Oh well at least two out of three ain't bad. The under was blown out of the water, but the yanks bats did produce the runs needed to cash the ticket and they actually are ahead in the zillionth inning now. Hop ethat they hold on for the win!
