As much as I don't like the yankees, i'm going to back them this time.  Joba has improved and is pitching with much more confidence.  No walks last time out.  It also helps that Gallagher is pitching instead of Duchscherer.

Had yanks yesterday, will take them again here. Yanks are a second half team, in years past. But this year, they're not as good and injured. Home fans love Joba, so I expect a good outing from him...

Trance saying it helps not having Duchscherer on the mound is a understatement since he is the best pitcher in the leauge.Even without him I hate Joba and his contorl issues. There is no way NY should be favored by this much, huge value on Oakland here. There 6-2 ats in last 8 games and though the scoreboaard didn't reflect it the hit in the last game was 9 to 10.  Oakland ML or RL for insurance.GL

I am on Oakland strictly as a value bet.  Although such a line is usually a warning sign, I've a hard time not taking (basically) 2-to-1 on a team that is pretty good against (basically) a rookie pitcher

two evenly matched teams.  the Yanks pitching has been a question and they are injured/beaten up.  Even at home, I think that MYY-200 is no real value on teams that so neck and neck.  I am taking the A's as that is where the value is.

Just wanted to say what I have been saying all year NY will not make the postseason this year. So for all you guys that keep betting on them and giving me that extra Yankee juice I want to thank you in advance. GL

Not a Yankee fan, and I hope they don't make the playoffs, but at home, against a team that kinda threw in the towel by trading 40% of it's starting pitching, whats not to like? I would love them to lose the rest of their games, but at home, they're a tough team to beat, and Jeter won't let them lose to a team that doesn't know if this year or next year is their year...
