Early lean on Phils...need more research on pitchers

Phils are 10-1 at home last 2 post seasons combined
Phils are 8-2 on last 10 Wed games


With a day off LA gets to stew over blowing their last loss in walk off fashion: walking & hitting a batter to put 2 in in bottom of the 9th, & Rollins double with 2 outs for the win.


Hamels
1.  5-0 vs LA lifetime

2.  Last start in game 1 in LA, where he gave up 8 hits & 4 runs w/4 K's in 5 1/3 was his 1st game back after he left COL in the division series to be with w/his wife giving birth.  DONT THINK ALL THAT TIME LEADING UP TO HER DELIVERING A KID DOESNT COME INTO PLAY AND AFFECT HIS MIND 

3.  He got the jitters out of his system in Game 1 & now he gets to pitch at home.



On paper LA has the edge w/Padilla consistently more dominant but... Home field seals the deal so they get some extra rest before facing the Yankees & not have to go back to LA

Anybody else have any detailed info on these 2 pitchers?

Had it not been for that fateful 8th inning blast in Game 2, LAD would have already been sent packing by now.

This will be my largest baseball play tonight in a while. Might want to fade me since I was one of the idiots that thought CC would not do well on short rest last night.

Taking the Philles. I like Hamels to come out strong and pitch like he has done in the past

Anyone who watched this series closely knows it should be over by now. LA's only win came on a total mental collapse in the 8th inning of game 2.

I like Philly at home to close the door. Especially after the last two games. 11-0 was crushing to LA.. but to be an out away from a 2-2 series and implode like that... losing in a walkoff of emotion and energy on the road.. 99% of teams don't bounce back from that.

Philly to the Series Vs the Yanks.. for the same reasons.

Hate the juice.  Hate betting with the public.  But (1) Philles don't want to go on the road again and (2) LA can't hit on the road

Phillies RL +140 and Over 8.5, Padilla isn't going to shut the Phillies down two games in a row especially when the 2nd game is in Philadelphia, and Hamels is finally getting distraction free, which a chance to clinch a trip to the world series at home, hes going to take advantage of it

monday night they said manny was showering before the game even ended as if he was giving up and getting ready to go home. last night i liked the angels as they lost . so tonight lets go with the hotter team and the phils. gl

This is a tuff one, they are both very good pitchers, with that said the value is with the dodgers also the dodger must win this game or go home and manny can take as long of a shower as he wants then.

have too agree...............dodgers are in a must win.......just hope they realize it.......but sure Torre has informed them of this. O/U? Have to go with the over. Phil's have been swinging and LA better get their 20/20 on the ball if they want to have a chance
