What a duel between "mariner24" and "patrick26", ive been in the mariner24 position before in '10 playoffs (see for yourself), i got shy with the money and i lost and wouldve won, for what thats worth, it could be the correct approach too.

on the game, how do you go against a previous winner of the Cup on home ice?  Brodeur is on a mission, (so is Quick and the Kings, Kings win it, too much dominance on forward play, the go around like bees in a hive, African bees), and i believe he's in his final tip top shape for this one. Lundquist on other side? he's been a choke, although ive always felt the best time to play the Rangers is when they're on the road, all the way back to the Messier time.  But this team doesnt seem to understand that when you're the better team all around, the philosophy should be catch me if you can, like Secretariet in the Belmont and like I'll Have Another will exemplify in the Belmont this year, it's not even gonna be close. But they seem to think we'll just out muscle the other team and play off our laurels. If Rangers win this one (which they wont), And play in attack mode the rest of the way, it will be a great Stanley Cup Final (Kings still win it). But tonite, it's "Hail to Sir Martin !! "  What a great career !

I'll do a repeat cuz its hilarious to me with this NYR team,  Always chokes wen it matters most, them an Washington are the 2 biggest letdowns every year, an you know what, its guna happen yet again for the rangers,  thank god u got the yank an mets, ETC ETC.  if it werent for Lunquist they wulda most likely lost in 6 games to Ottawa in the first series.  They just dont play up to their level in the palyoffs except for Henrik.  Unless he posts a shutout, NJD handle game 6 easily an my predicition is a 3-1 Devils win..  Rangers got the better players, Rangers got the better goalie , barely, and they are just more talened than  the devils but it dont matter it the playoffs, its about experience, heart, drive, and just the want to will, Devils have that will the rangers dont.  Brodeur, what can u even say about this guy, looks like a 25 yr old goalie out there, puttin his body in postions u think would be literally imposible to even atttempt yet look good an keep doin it.  Guy is unreal, i hope to god they win the cup this year and send Brodeur on his way, a great finish to a greater career , will be remembered as a top5 goalie of all time, good luck all,  3-1 NJD

My above puck heads. How many games in this series have you watched? Boxed scored by clover boy I take it.Not too say that either of you are wrong, however there are no points relevant to any of the previous games between these two. ie.Like Del Zotto is the reason the Rangers are on this whole mess with turnovers and commiting to pucks he was never gonna get..Or perhaps the fact that the Rangers playing the board game has limited their options to go inside into open ice..My bit..
I think that Mcdonough is the reason that the Rangers will win this one.. The guy is the rock in defense when Staal goes wandering and has offensive options to  boot..Now unless one is blind, they would have noticed that the Rangers dominated game 5 (albeit at MSG) and all stats favored them including face offs and hits..With the visitors season on the line I expect a better performance from Lundy and Del Zotto taking this series to the seven that it deserves..
RANGERS-[+114]

OT sprinkle a must.. with 2-2 sounding nice..
Mon-E..Break out  the Chianti  and serve up some iguana on toast for the Colonel and Phinn are coming to maillot jaune meadows for an on the rocks nosh..Send me one of  your Jets...

Better still...

GL mi amigo bphinn.... iguana & Chianti sounds quite appetizing, huummmm, maybe I'll pass on the iguana and replace it with a large antipasto. Then top it off with a nightcap shot of shark_____apezia's tequilla with a dash of salt & lemon. The game takes place in the Garden State  I'm thinking the Devils just might stick the pitchfork in the Rags.

Mon e-pics pulled the one-armed bandit and up came the 7's.....Looks like the blue shirts will host a garden party on Madison Ave. Sunday night in Manhattan, it doesn't get any better than that.
