#2 Posted: 4/29/2008 1:01:51 PM Hawks + (probably a double-digit line [guess +11 or +12])
Now they know they can compete. Young team unaware of talent the first few games... now they have confidence.

#4 Posted: 4/29/2008 6:25:23 PM thanks to the show in Atlanta, this line spread comes to us a little cheaper than the first two times around, but thus is the dichotomy of a young group of talent. As good as they were at home, they have been struggled to get it going without the crowd's energy to push them over the top. That building was electric and the adrenaline from that kind of support is a large part of how atlant pulled the back to back upsets...
No way in hell the C's aren't ready for them, and you don't go to the garden and take the celtics unless you are ready to play championship caliber basketball as a team. No way they let Joe Johnson and Josh smith kill them like that again. Last two times they played in BOS, the celtics slowly wore them down and played solid games. This has the make of an all home series. I'll have my money on another Celtic slaughter and be ready to catch some more points when the hawks swing back home.
BOS -13 (buying they hook)
debating on 1st half, but without compelling evidence, I'll probably stick to the game, because ATL sometimes comes out strong on the road, but they can't maintain against the away crowd's energy |

#5 Posted: 4/29/2008 11:08:18 PM 24 hour blowout. Everything must go! Tally up everything that you lost on the Celtics over the last two games and throw it down on them in this one in the 1st quarter 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter prior to the game. They will be up by 13 at the break, and 16 going into the third quarter.
Those streamers were totally unnecessary in Hotlanta! I am seriously thinking of breaking my bet into 3 quarters only. I will sleep on it and let everyone know in the morning

#6 Posted: 4/29/2008 11:10:08 PM What i know about reading moneylines though tells me that this will happen. A 9 point spread should have been -1200. A 14 point spread should be around -2000, which is correct fro laying those kind of points. This one will get ugly |

#7 Posted: 4/29/2008 11:13:39 PM Should I even say anything about this game? I don't even know why I even came into this thread because I'm having flashbacks. Once again though, this SHOULD be a blowout. This SHOULD be all Celtics. They SHOULD jump out to an early lead and hold on the entire game. I SHOULD have $2200 extra dollars in my pocket right now. More to come, don't worry!!

#14 Posted: 4/30/2008 12:44:26 AM CMJ... honestly, ATL is a different team at home. A lot of youth based teams are like that and this is an extreme case. Remember how hesitent everyone was to take the C's... they covered both times and wore the hawks down even though they looked alright early. Add the revenge to that game 1/2 situation and you've got a good formula for success... well... the only game in this series I haven't called right was game 4 and I regret underestimating them at home, I just don't think they are deep enough to beat the C's in boston... good luck with whatever you do though man. |

#16 Posted: 4/30/2008 1:30:23 AM this series heads back to boston where they have dominated atl wit a 4-0 su record and 3-1ats....however this game will be more personal to boston ...especially garnett and pierce....boston will get back to the basics in this game as they only give up 87pts a game....all 4 games this year has gone under the total.....even after losing twice in atl....the spread for boston is still high as darn (-14)....which should tell u that boston will murder these chumps....atl will not be able to compete against the ability and dominance of boston......BOSTON(HALF)......BOSTON (GAME)......UNDER..... |

#20 Posted: 4/30/2008 3:14:29 AM New series now, best 2 out of 3. The Celtics will clobber the Hawks just like the way DET did to PHI |

#25 Posted: 4/30/2008 8:53:26 AM Duffield,
You now the man on here since you had a hand in getting Styles PB'd. Hey, Great call on Utah last night. Kuddos to you with that pick. Any more great picks for this evening so I can fade you?
Oh, no need to start giving rationale to your picks either, just continue to name the team with no reason why and I'll fade accordingly.
