Toronto has played well in the past against the Magic. I think they will come up with a huge effort tonight. It still may not be enough to win outright.

Toronto played weak toward the end of the year and are a much better home team. Orlando is the only team that can run with DET or BOS and they outmatch Toronto at most every position. I'll take TOR at home, but Orlando holds court here with authority...
ORL -5 (I'll buy that half point too)

The Toronto Raptors tinkered with their starting lineup and tried a few new plays early in their first-round playoff opener against the Orlando Magic.
The result? After 12 minutes and a barrage of Magic 3-pointers, they were down 43-23, and all but out of it with three quarters left. But Raptors coach Sam Mitchell doesn't think their 114-100 loss Sunday had anything to do with the changes.
Expect nothing less in game 2.

Right now, i like Toronto+5.5 in this matchup, and here's why.
Goinggone likes Orlando! Naw just kidding, but not really. I can't really talk too much about a man who knows less than a thimble about wagering (obviously) and has a poor record(obviously) like his, which i am dying to bring to life and share withthe threads, but i'll spare him just as long as he lays off of the cheapshots against me.
At any rate, 79% of the money is on Orlando, and 98% on the spread, yet the line went down from -6 to -5.5.
That is bad news for Orlando backers, and another thing. Little Brother at one point or another gets tired of Big Brother picking on him and punches him square in the face.
It's too easy to take Orlando in this game. And according to the bettors numbers, they are all over Orlando, and that's not just this thread, folks. Although i accurately predicted the 1st game, i saw some things within the second half that Toronto can make a few adjustments on and come up with the straight up victory actually.
Some of those listed wins against the Raptors came when Bosh was ailing, heavygunner.
I am on some new and improved playoff juice.
Raptors+whatever i can get and a bucket (2 points) HEAVY
(I see that line dropping with all of that good public money, but everyone else is pretending they don't see it)

Everyone was all over Houston tonight as well..... Said they would make adjustments, and pull it out. I just don't see Toronto beating Orlando at Home. Not with the way they're playing right now. You may not see as big a game as in game 1...... but in the end? The better, smarter, more proficient (home) team prevails.... Film at 11.

so far, from what I've seen, Vegas has been hurting in the first round, I know the pub was on both games today, BOS, LAL, PHO, N.O., first time CLE, ORL ... all come to mind... I'm going to ignore public opinion and stick with my gut, that Orlando is a way better team than TOR, especially away from toronto.
Moneymaker, I like your 1Q gems, so i'm here with you too... WAS was the first time i remember you losing one of those in a few months.

I never have fun watching games becuz im too busy with my pen and pad studying and observing shit.....after dissecting the last game i learned from my mistakes for choosing toronto.....and im picking them again ...becuz everything has a way of balancing themselves out....take for instance the first qt....orl scored 43pts-23...that was bullshit....but then after balancing itself out u had tor winning the second qt.24-17....third qt. tor28-25.....4th qt orl 29-25.....balance....i still think these two r evenly matched.....i look for bosh to bounce back after going 4-11 for 21pts...although he was 13-13 free throws....and if lewis keeps guarding bosh he will tire out and it will take away from his offense....both teams shot 45% from 3pt land ...a total of 49 3's attemted...thats a lot....and it wont slow down.....thats why im taking toronto ang over.........

The line opened at Orlando-6.5 on the LVSC on 4/20/08
4/20 3:10pm Orlando -6.5
4/21/08 10:11am Orlando -6
4/21/08 12:11pm Orlando -5.5
Yet money is pouring in on Orlando. Please. Listen closely:
Here's what I know that you don't know.
The wise guy play happened between 6:33 pm and 7:33 pm on 4/20/08 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
After that play was made the line started to decrease and it went down to where it is now. You don't have to believe me, just do your homework by the casino line movements and stop guessing like like enoggniog, or you will have the same shoddy results.
Wagering is not about luck, or having political snippets on your homepage or having associates like fish naked. It's about homework. Do your homework, boys! Stay up late and find out what the casinos know and what they knew from the jump. Making money is more fun than insulting the ones who make money, got it, gg? The idea is to cash out once a week, not once every two months or so. I have learned that very quickly about this game of ours. nightridah seems to be the only one I see doing some serious homework out here. Which explains why he is doing so well. My hubby always says luck is for suckers.
Toronto, babes. All the money is on the other side. The side of the Lights.

Random observation: Two of the three refs officiating this game are in the top half of the "homer" list:
8. Jim Clark
23. Bob Delaney
48. J. Phillips
Click on the "refs" part at the top of the Covers NBA main page if you want to see what I'm talking about.
I took the Jazz Monday night for many reasons... a minor one being two of the refs for the game.
Referees Mike Callahan and Tony Brothers are ranked 61 and 62. (very bottom of the "homer" list)
Home team ATS with Callahan 26-42; with Brothers 25-45.
Apparantly these are the two refs who give home teams the least love. Now, while many times during the Jazz game it seemed a lot of home love was going on... a crucial call with 45secons left decided this game. Houston down by 3, McGrady has the ball, wide open, behind the arc near the baseline, Kirilenko lunges to contest a possible 3pt shot by McGrady, but a half-limp forearm belonging to Luis Scola "appears" to hold him away from the shooter, Kirilenko does the weirdest flop act I've seen in ages and the refs gave it to him! Huge change-of-possesion call, crucial call, we Jazz backers loved it.
Anyway, what makes anyone think Orlando will come out weak and lose their homecourt advantage is beyond me. I could go on and on about all the situational, motivational, and statistical analysis I do on a daily basis but I don't have the time to write a novel before every game.
I make my bets at real sportsbooks in real casinos with real cash, fellas. I'm no high-roller but trust me, big money on one side means nothing. Anything can happen. I see guys lose line-changing bets all the time.

I do see the stars aligning tonight and being a night for the dogs. But I just dont see why no one here is praising this over. It again is below 200. The way these two teams stroke the three a play will be made either on first half over or game over.
