Even though Mr. Ness's free pick is on Memphis, I don't think that Memphis can win this. What he said is logical, but he does not consider one thing.
Lakers and Kobe want to get back to the finals and win it, and I don't think that Kobe would let his team lose any game. He, Artest, Phil J will motivate the team to win this game, and they'll have a day off after, they can go to Vegas to chill:D.

So I don't expect the Lakers to go easy on this one. Memphis became a pretty good, competitive young team, but La is still the best and they gonna be Champs this year 4sure.

No easy games anymore...

how do you pick the griz to beat the lakers?? It will probably happen, but I just can't live in a world where I bet against the lakers as only a 2 pt favorite over the grizzlies.  Gasol, Odom and Bynum are playing well, you will always get Kobe's best, and Artest has brought back this team defensively since his return.   Cannot go griz, may bite the bullet because of it

The Lakers will want to end the long road trip with a big win.  Thinking they wont be focused with Jackson as there coach is laughable.  LA covers.

Fade the Lakers on the road against above .500 teams just 1-9 ATS.  Had the Celtics +1.5 yesterday, taking Memphis +2 today.

Within 10 points... nothing close to an easy night... but Like it's been said... Lakers have a tough schedule going into the break... but Phil will have 'em ready.... look at yesterday... Could've lost that game a number of times... could've given up late in the game.... instead....

Prentice says Lakers are 1 and 9 ATS against teams above .500.  Add to that, the Grizz  is 10 and 1 ATS last 11 against teams above .600.

I know LA is hot, and Grizz home streak finally ended, but very hard to bet against those numbers.

Better bet might be whether Kobe hits 28 or waits till he gets to LA to break West's record in front of home fans.  And keep in mind that 3rd best Laker (Odom) probably has his mind on "reuniting" with 3rd best Kardashian!

Unders is the play here according to my convoluted system.

You gotta be kidding me? EASY! Look - you can be clueless all you want but......EASY! Lakers might win ATS but EASY? Hope you are back here after the game when Memphis covers and you realize "EASY" wasn't the play on the Lakers

Have this as the Lakers by 1. But the long road trip and tough game yesterday have me taking the Grizzlies. There's also some strong reverse line movement on this game. Opened in most books at LAL -3. Now it's to -1.5. Memphis is the play.
