Spurs vs. Nuggets -4.5 (2 units) - my first bet since the end of football season, and if my track record holds true I should be in good shape for the NBA. Teh Spurs have a game tonight in Golden State, which means they'll be running up and down the court. Hopefully that means they'll be a tad tired for tomorrow's game against another team who is run and gun. Denver hasn't played since Friday and should be rested and healthy. Melo is back and the Nuggets seem to play better (or at least more emotional) when at home. JR Smith needs to regain his composure off the bench now that Melo is back.

SA been playing really well lately, Denver also been playing well and finally healthy with Melo back in the line up. SA some of the best road warriors in the league.
SA +5.5

My rating for these two teams suggest that the line should
be around -1.5 to –2 with Denver as the chalk, but I see that the English
bookmakers have San Antonio at +6. I can see one Irish bookmaker has the Spurs
at +6.5.
Anyway to what catches my eye.
I have the Spurs on a rating of 290 and the Nuggets at 263
which suggesting that this game might be a bit closer than the spread suggests.
Against Golden State, San Antonio needed overtime after
trailing 89-77 last time out. But that could be down to a flat spot sandwiched
between match ups with teams I have ranked at six and eight on my ratings.
I quite like the fact that the Spurs have a good away record
although obviously the Nuggets have a very good home record.
Given the flat spot described above may have been ignored and
the fact Carmelo Anthony is back in the Denver lineup are the reason why the
line is not where I think it should be. I appreciate Anthony has had one come back
game after his 10 match layoff, but I was interested to read that during his
absence from the court his fellow teammates Billups, Smith and kleiza produced
21,6, 16.7 and 14.6 points per game respectively. Perhaps Anthony's absence
hasn't been a significant has perhaps people think.
So that's my thoughts take San Antonio +6 and
remember what the hell do I know!!!!!

Spurs maybe good road warriors, but only 3-6 ATS on a 2nd of B2B. in addition they had to play OT to get it down last nite.
I will roll Nugs-6
Think you need to look further into this stat, how many times on a B2B are the Spurs getting 6 points, not very often, they would usually be a favourite on a B2B. 6 points is too much.

i think SA getting 6pts is manna from heaven.before i looked @ this game i was going DEN. now however w/pts like this you have to think SA. don't for a minute think SA won't come to play! b2b isn't going to be the issue the books are making it.SA is a true roadie team, every year they go on the rodeo roadtrip and know exactly what they have to deal with! they are playing good ball now(even though it didn't look it last night)and i believe they will be out to win before they head out east and that tough leg. gotta go w/ the pts here, looking at the under also.and yes i'm a HOMIE!!!!!!

The spurs didn't look great even though they made a valiant comeback last night to win in overtime. Going in to denver and playing a mile above sea level on the second night of a back 2 back is going to be tough.
That being said getting 6 points is a lot for a good spurs team.
I'm staying away from this game

san antonio is coming off a back to back and will use their defense to try and stop denver inside. Great offenive and defensive rebounding this could be a down played type of game where every possesion will count.
Denver is trying to rebound off a slow start and build into form before the all star break. The one thing that got me on this was that the spurs seem to be playing very well on the road as of late and i dont see that stopping here.
The only reason im not on the spurs is because a b2b usually is a weird play type of game with lots of turnovers from both teams especially if they try to start running with those tired legs. This is usually from just a b2b but they played the warriors last night that are healthy run and gun team and for 4 quarters running the floor with them could mean a low score affair. Not that spurs wont win, But its just that much harder and when things seem to good to be true they usually are,
