#5 Posted: 1/7/2013 8:25:56 PM I see Houston coming into this game and giving the Pats all they can
handle.
The Pats are not all that great on the defensive side of the ball(Ranked 26th),and can be scored on.
Houston is ranked 7th on both sides of the ball,so expect a close game here.
I just donot see the Pats blowing Houston out.
In addition, you don't know how the Pats are going to come out after
a bye week.
I know it helps for the injured players, but the week off can also
affect their timing.
Taking Houston with the points. |

#16 Posted: 1/9/2013 2:11:55 PM Pats roll with a rested Gronk and healed Hernandez...
bottom line, Houston won't be able to score with the Pats.
I think they cruise passed 9.5

#17 Posted: 1/9/2013 4:15:00 PM so what are we looking at here?
if i had to guess... i would say the final tally for total bets on this game will look something like this (in terms of quantity, not amount)...
Patriots: 87% Texans: 13%
yea i'm sure the 87% are right...

needless to say (should be, anyway)... this is the ONLY post on this entire thread that actually makes an attempt at handicapping this football game, rather than just reflecting a gambler's mentality...
this game will not come close to resembling the first game... anyone who thinks it will, is not cut out for this game...

PATS -9.5
Very well said! Unlike the Patriots are accustomed to blowing out opponents during the season, they usually "barely" get by in the playoffs. Pats by 10-12 pts.
NEW ENGLAND - 9.5 |

#24 Posted: 1/9/2013 8:12:39 PM I see Foster and the offensive line coming out and controlling the clock, keeping Brady off the field and grinding out a close game. I don't see the Texans playing the way they did last time in New England.
I don't think it's unreasonable the Texans win in this spot but definitely think 9 is too many points with the way they can run the ball and eat clock.

#25 Posted: 1/9/2013 11:33:28 PM WHEN IS THE LAST TIME THE TEXANS RAN THE BALL EFFECTIVELY? THEIR OFFENSE IS HORRID RIGHT NOW AND THEY ARE MISSING CUSHING ON DEFENSE. THIS TEAM HAS SPIRALED DOWNWARD SINCE THAT LOSS.
AND AS I RECALL WATCHING THEIR LAST MEETING, HOUSTON DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER TO STOP BRADY. WHY? BECAUSE THEY DON'T MATCH UP WITH THE PATS, AND NOW THAT GRONK IS HEALTY, THIS IS ANOTHER BEATDOWN IN THE MAKING. |
