#2 Posted: 12/5/2012 4:30:38 PM Not sure the Orange are going to be able to keep up w WVU. WVU defense stinks but Cuse still has to put up 50 to win this game? The good thing, it will be outdoors and should be cold |

Mountaineers -4 over 73.5
When these two were big east foes the favorite was the play. Mountaineers light up the Yankee scoreboard in a post Christmas shootout.

I agree! The orange have consistently improved on offense so i dont see the pathetic Mounties stopping them, on the other side the cuse can make one or two stops to win or cover. |

#10 Posted: 12/10/2012 11:56:12 PM Anyone else think the over is the best play in this game?? Nassib should carve up that WVU D and WVU should put their points up as well.. |

#14 Posted: 12/25/2012 10:15:35 PM This is one my strongest bowl games of this season as all of my criteria are pointing to Syracuse, even to the point that Cuse may actually have a motivational edge for WVa in this one. For starters, my numbers make the game Syracuse 51 - 42. There is a strong consensus on WVA of about 75% ( which points to a strong contrarian play on Syracuse ). Also, my defensive sack % /attempts shows the Cuse being able to harass Geno Smith en ough to keep WV scoring down into the low 40s. Game is in NY and WV was hoping for a bigger more glamorous bowl while Syracuse is glad to be anywhere after the way they played at times. I suggest a full 3 unit max bet on Syracuse plus the points plus a money line play for a full unit on the Cuse.

#17 Posted: 12/28/2012 11:00:36 PM I'm liking Cuze and the over but have some concerns about the weather. NY expecting 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow thorugh the evening. Probably a good under 36 1/2 bet for the first half to see what the weather brings. |

#18 Posted: 12/29/2012 12:24:00 AM while still not great, i saw much better defensive play from wvu at the end of the year. also, syracuse can't tackle. i think wvu will beat syracuse with superior speed and tackling.
10-17 pt win by wvu

West Va is probably one of the worst tackling defenses in FBS. Just look at the scores that other teams have run up on them this year ( OU, KSt, Texas, TTU, Ok St and Baylor all had good days against them ). Can't trust that WV D on the road where their O may struggle. |

Don't get me wrong, WV D is among the worst in all of CFB but OU, Kst, Tex, TTU, Okst. And Baylor could put up big points on a lot of playoff contending NFL teams... The Big East is garbage, and WVU strength of schedule far out weighs Cuse's . Weather could slow down the WV air assult which may cause Tavon to line up in the backfield as he did vs OU ( in which he rushed for 200+) WV gets up for Bowls just ask OU, GA, and Clemson... |
