#2 Posted: 10/9/2012 5:14:48 AM One thing jumps out at me on this one. KSU has turned the ball over 3 times this year, while forcing 14. Iowa State has turned the ball over 13 times, while forcing 12 of its own.
Wowzers. KSU +10 and ISU -1 on the year. Can't turn the ball over against KSU, or they'll burn ya.
Not gonna lie, when I was looking at this game, I thought of last year and the Ok.St/ISU game. But I'm not going to let that change my mind, I like KSU here. 93% of the action right now is on KSU, so I'm grabbing this at 6.5 before it gets bet up to that key # of 7. |

#3 Posted: 10/9/2012 9:37:01 AM I agree with your turnover analysis but with Barnett starting now I think ISU will get the turnovers under control. Iowa State has played Kansas St tough the last few years and have just come up short. In the last 3 years ISU has had the lead or tied in the 4th quarter. Kansas St either scored on the final possession to take the lead or ISU missed a PAT.
This year its in Ames for the first time in 5 years (neutral site in 09 & 10) and I think Iowa St can pull off another upset or at least keep it within a TD.
Obvsiously I'm a little bias but for those who know this rivalry it won't be an easy win for the Wildcats. |

#4 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:27:49 PM I have to agree with both of you on this game. Being a gambler this is the game you don't touch. but if i did gamble on it i would lean under. I would also take the points. On the road hostile environmentISU will come to try the upset. Plus the way teams are going down, fla.st. getting upset. fla beating Lsu. Just seems like an upset to me.I will watch it and see. |

#7 Posted: 10/10/2012 10:13:29 AM As ISU has been a tough game for KSU the last couple yrs, this yr will be different. Kstate is a much improved squad from last yr and dont see much improvement on the other side. Think this will be a 2-3 TD difference as Kstate will try to stack on the style points for BCS.KSU -7 all the way |

#11 Posted: 10/12/2012 12:49:08 PM Turnovers helped ISU last week... KSU protects the ball far better than TCU. KSU -6.5 & Over... ISU won't do it off two weeks in a row. |

#14 Posted: 10/12/2012 3:58:41 PM I appreciate the rivalry nature of the game and the home field edge but KSU has been more impressive against much better competition. The initial burst may favor ISU but the adrenaline rush will pass and K State should win this game by 10-17 points. I have KSU to win and cover, and have them in a three team tease getting 3 1/2 points. Nothing much surprises me any more in CFB, weird things happen with 20 year olds and emotion, but KSU is the better team, and better coached. |

#15 Posted: 10/12/2012 6:14:44 PM I keep hearing Iowa state. Bet you k state hears the same. This years rendition of k state is much improved over the previous that played close games with the cyclones. Give the points and take the better team |
