Oregon St may win outright. Rodgers brothers will bring it. They have lots of family & friends driving in from houston to watch the game,
I'm constantly amazed at the things people think matter in handicapping.
The Rodgers brothers' family is all but irrelevant, unless we are to believe there is some supernatural ability associated with playing 4.5 hours from your hometown. I'll let you (and the public) bet your money on that theory.

TCU all the way. Basically a home game and Oregon state has been terrible on the road in the early parts of the year. I realize they were a play or two away from the Rose Bowl, but I still am not buying them. This is not Corvallis - I think the Quiz will have a pretty tough time against this D

I was a little surprised at the spread on this one. TCU is a very good team, but only returned 5 defensive starters. Like the Beavers +13.5. Even put a small play on them to win straight up at +415- if I lose, it's not much but a good value if they win.

Last pick was Hawaii +22 to cover against a team that hadn’t
practiced tackling. USC couldn’t stop the second team Hawaii QB and the season
starts with a perfect 1 and oh record.
When a team that is considered by many to be Pac-10 favorite
is getting double digits, it deserves a closer look. From what I have read the
biggest problem TCU will face this year is waiting to find out their BCS Bowl
destination. The Horned Frogs are getting all the hype and a very good Beaver
team is getting very little respect.
Oregon State has a deep and experienced offensive line
(minus the one that decided to practice his 3 point stance, drunk and naked, in
a stranger’s house) and 2 quality skill players that will provide comfortable
surroundings for the new QB. Many of the team stayed in Corvallis, close its
bustling theater, nightclub, and shopping district, to train over the summer, a
true sign of dedication. They have the jacket of being a slow starting team but
TCU is not Penn State.. Out of conference big games for TCU appear to have been
close and low scoring. The Beavers and the ML is very attractive.
