someone somewhere must be liking the gamecocks and I would not imagine a bunch of sqaures are pounding away a good month or so out- no lean one way or another for me at this point but something to consider

I was thinking the exact same thing which has me worried a bit. Only put 1 unit on it though.

i mean i really liked so miss also but then since everyone is on them i guess cocks will dominate??? easy to say when your a fan i guess. we have the best team talent wise we may have ever had. just depends if we can get our shit together... this game will be a tough test opening the season. but then again we will probly win this game with a late scare from so miss and maybe even lose. smart money is on them.

Just hoping Martevious Young can get the Tigers 3 scores. It won't be easy with a young offensive line in front of him.
Been visiting covers.com for years but this is my first year as a member. I respect u as a capper CO. Jim, and u are on my side of the line more times than not when I read these threads. With this one u hit the nail right on the head. SO MISS YOUNG O-LINE...only the center returns. That, combined with the fact that SC has some solid NFL prospects in their front 7 has me on the other side of this one. We all know So Miss is coached well and posesses some nice athletes. They have also proven that they can keep it close with BCS foes, but not in this one. I don't doubt that by the end of the year So Miss line will come together, but this is game 1 with the lights on Thurs Night ESPN and there will be blown assignments on the So Miss O line. Blocking is not merely physical, they have to listen to the centers' call and block the right assignment, if he changes his call because of a defensive shift or QB audible they have to know what to do then as well...this is all assuming they can even hear the call with the mayhem of a Thurs night opener in SC's stadium. Bright lights Nat. TV, futur NFLer's against 1st time Conf USA er's.
