I don't like this game one bit
 
I have watched OSU the last few years and the entire game against Navy.  They just have not showed up against the big time teams at all.  My concern is that they continue to underachieve.  I think Tressel can get this turned around, but right now they are just not very good.  I think their O and D lines will get absolutely manhandled by USC's lines.  OSU moved their starting center to right tackle and he seems misplaced.  Their offensive line surrendered a lot of pressure to an undersized Navy team.  And on D, the OSU linebackers simply did not make any plays.  They miss Laurenitis more than people think.  (Full disclosure:  I am an OSU grad and huge fan).
 
Bottom line,l you can never count out OSU at home with a hyped up fan base and an immense talent like Pryor.  But they appear to be at least a year and several recruits away from national championship contention.  I think they will get outgained by at least 200 yards.  Counting on winning the special teams and turnover battles seems like faint hope.  Always beware of the backdoor cover here.

Before last week I felt OSU at home, seeking credibiilty for all the big game losses, and facing a freshman QB, was going to pull the upset.  After watching Navy exploit the OSU line, and able to drive it down the field, I am backing off OSU.  USC should roll, again.

Wouldn't count too much into that- think they were looking ahead resulting in them not closing out the 2nd half very well. 
I'll wait for this line to go to 7 and buy a half point.
 Looking at Oh St. +7.5 with buy and movement hopefully

A freshman surrounded by tons of talent playing the second game of his career against OSU reminds me of Colt McCoy a few years ago. McCoy didn't play all that well and OSU rolled.

Now, this OSU team isn't nearly as talented on offense. Defensively it's probably a wash. The key to the game will be OSU's D line against USC's O line. If they can get pressure to Bradley and slow down the USC ground game, then the Bucks win.

Another early thought: you can't learn much from watching Navy's offense play OSU's defense. But you can from seeing OSU's O line be unable to open running lanes in the second half against an undersized Navy front seven. That's a bad sign for OSU.

This line opened at 5 and immediately went to 7. But I'm having a tough time seeing a rookie QB and inexperienced defense going into the Shoe for a night game and winning by more than a touchdown. Early lean toward the Bucks.

USC covers 6 easily and maybe more. If Ohio State has that much trouble with navy I dont care who is playing quarterback for USC....Not to mention the buckeyes rarely perform well in big games and this will be no exception. USC defense too much...

This game should be close and OSU could definitely pull out an upset here. I think USC is a little overrated this year. They lost a lot of talent in the draft. I think OSU at least keeps it respectable this time around. 

I'll take the 6.5 points.

I agree that USC is overrated this year....they are almost EVERY year.  The problem is:  Ohio State is even MORE overrated every year.  How many big games OOC can they continue to lose before folks wake up and see OSU is rated highly because there just aren't many/any teams in their geographical area for sportswriters to vote for? 

They could have been looking ahead some, but it was a home opener.  And the defensive line Navy fielded wouldn't be 2nd team at USC.  They have great heart, and they are smart, but OSU couldn't block them consistently.  I would love to see OSU derail USC, but it looks like Cal has the best chance for doing that.  USC minus the points.

Ohio State covers.  USC freshman QB cannot deal with the pressure of the OSU fans. This is not quiet Coliseum.  This is the horseshoe.  Good luck everyone.

Horseshoe or not, it won't matter Ohio St need 13 players on the field to compensate for USC superior speed and power. This won't be any different from last year and the year b4 that, and a few year ago.

USC has too much speed and talent here. Ohio State isn't that good and their o-line is slow. USC may hand them one of their worst defeats ever in the Horseshoe.

Get real... USC is obviously favored to win, but this statement is just ludacris. I myself will be at the game this Saturday, and you have obviously never been to the shoe. Ohio St players and fans have been waiting to play this game since the defeat last year with a hurt beanie wells, a confused quarterback situation, and a much better USC team. Yes, I agree that the buckeyes looked like shit last game, but c'mon... If you are not used to playing against Navy's 3 headed monster rushing attack it can be hard to defend. They will be more ready for USC's conventional approach. My only concern is can OSU put up the points. With TP having a little more maturity I see them not struggling nearly as much as last years big games. Also, you will see more of Saine in the back field and Tressel will be much more aggressive due to the pressure of not being able to score in big games. Defense steps up and our linebacker's balls drop a little.

Look for the buckeyes to cover if not win outright and the under to hit as well....

20-17 OSU or 24-17 USC

I think USC should should cover the 7 pts easy! after watching both teams play last week and given usc's depth at tail back the trojans should roll unless the OSU puts pressure on barkley!!!

Not so fast.. the Navy offense takes time to prepare for and it became pretty obvious that OSU looked past game 1, but came on strong in the second half.
 
OSU, Laurnitis or not, will surely tackle better than SJST.  Big plays on the ground will be harder to come by.  A lot of pressure on an 18 year old in a very hostile enviorment.
 
I like Prior and the Buckeyes to keep in close at home.  OSU +7 is a heck of bargin.  But I'm staying away until I see what both teams really have.

At first look, USC is a lock.  Then, I ask myslef why they are only a 6 pt favorite.  Obviously, Vegas knows their stuff.  After that horrible Navy win, you would think that USC would roll Ohio State up.  To be honest, USC will probably blow em out.  However, the spread is a little scary.  I like the over.  Pryor and the offense will deffinetly put up points, as USC does the same on the weak OSU defense.
