I feel the Bruins could steal this one outright but I'll give Pat Hill's club the benefit of the doubt and say they hold on to win.
UCLA covers. Bruins are a great Sept ATS team while the Bulldogs are just the opposite. More food for thought, the Bruins are 4-0 ATS before playing WASH ST. Bruins are 11-1 as a home dog of 6>. Unfortunatly the Bruins are 0-3 ATS last 3 vs the Bulldogs.

I like UCLA in this spot. I also think UCLA could steal, but it will be due to D play rather than O. The way the line is set up, Vegas wants you to take Fresno. I will watch the line movement till game time and will post my pick; if I had to pick today, it would be on UCLA.

I'm just following the trend with this one again. Craft does not start the games well in the 1st half. Last week the only UCLA td in the first half was from a defensive TD.
If Craft start for UCLA again I will play against them. In addition UCLA has a lot of key injuries up front on defense and Fresno St will probably take advantage of that in this one and keep pounding the ball with the running game.

Another interesting tidbit in this series is that Fresno has never been favored in Pasadena, all of which makes me want to take the Bruins even more. With 94% of the public all over the Bulldogs, this is shaping up to be a huge upset. Norm Chow is tooling with the offense this week and they will have some tricks up their sleeve. UCLA is 4-0 against the spread in games prior to playing Washington State, and I don't look for that to change, as the Bruins have one of the nation's toughest schedules having already played Tennessee, Arizona and BYU already. UCLA is 3-1 straight up against the Bulldogs, but they have been favored in each of those matchups by an average of 12.5 points. With a 7 point head start in this game that represents a 19.5 point swing.

You make some valid points and I'm not by any means trying to steer you away from your pick but I just want to comment on some of your points if you don't mind.
1) Norm Chow was known for his offensive schemes in USC once he left USC they were still a scoring machine.
2) Norm Chow left USC to join the Titans in the NFL. He could not turn pro's into scoring machines. He had probably the best chance to showcase his talents with Vince Young and use his mobility to his offensive advantage. It did not pan out for him in Tennessee and was released.
3) UCLA is a team right now with a long list of key injuries. They started the season with Craft at QB who if I'm not mistaken is a 3rd or 4th string qb. Norm Chow has the mindset to be a great offensive coordinator but if he does not have the talent to use in his system then no matter what offensive scheme he has planned will not work.
4) Cam Cameron was considered an offensive genuis with the Chargers. Miami picked him up and we all know what happend in the end. My Dolphins were a laughing stock at 1-15 last season with one of the NFL's worst scoring offense. Lack of talent on my Dolphins were a big cause if that 1-15 record.
I like Norm Chow and he is no stranger to us in Hawaii, matter of fact a few of us knows him by his nickname "Bambi". Despite all of the rumours he was not on the list to take the place of June Jones as the Warriors Head Coach, maybe we should of considered him but he wasn't.
All in all just basically trying to say I love my stats, ats trends, etc.just like you but this is a different UCLA team this season & this is a different Fresno St team as well, and then again I could be way off on what I just said.
Good luck on this one

Sorry forgot to add I just like investing against UCLA in the 1st half to see if the trend continues with Craft at QB. By my numbers and system it shows that statisically this should be a close match up, but that's based on the final score not the 1st half.

BIG DADDY I was thinking a FSU play at the half also, forgetting FSU is the favorite now its not so appealing... I took Fresno at the half in the Rutgers game it was 0-0 half but I got 2... Now If Rutgers could hold them scorless that makes me think UCLA shurly can... I'm thinking first half under... FSU AND WISCONSIN both highly overrated in my mind... But we shall see...

Look for a Vegas Come up Right here. UCLA HOME GAME UNDERDOG....THE Public supporting a team that couldnt beat a -7 spread against Toledo. Toledo had a chance to go with a go ahead TD but do to poor Clock Managment they settled for a FG. Look for a Flat Fresno State School to make mistakes with Blitz Coming From D.Walkers Defense. Its Home Coming in Westwood. Look for a Fresno Team to realize that They play in the WAC...Its Still The Pac-10. About 30-40 players on Fresno State Roster are from So Cal. The Kids that didnt get into UCLA or USC...mmm...alot of these kids played with each other...Look for a Close Game and UCLA Speacial team to make plays. +7 UCLA

First of all much respect and adulation for a Vet with a great track record such as yourself. It is a priviledge to converse on the game with you.
The public is so far off on this one that it is pathetic. The Bulldogs are not a superior team to UCLA and they have no business being favored on the road in this matchup especially by a whole touchdown. I am buying a hook and playing this game at UCLA+7.5.
I like my chances with the Bulldogs having to defeat them by 10 points or more. This ia big letdown spot for them. Game 4's have been a problem for them over the last 5 years as they have gone 1-4 ats in those games. Teams with a winning percentage of .600 or less that go to overtime and score over 24 points and win are an incredible 2-15-1 ats if they are favored on the road in the next game. Take into account that Fresno is 6-11 on the road as a favorite in a non conference matchup. And get this 0-6 ats away off an ats loss against an opponent off of back to back straight up losses.
That being stated, they are in a bad position to cover the spread. I am firm in my pick and confident that UCLA will get the cover in this matchup.
Good luck to you on Saturday.

First, The Glass Bowl in Toledo is a tought place to play for any team. For Toledo, playing a top 25 team at home doesn't happen much and the extra motivation can make 19 year old kids play better.
2nd, Fresno State has something to prove. UCLA will be playing "not to lose" to another "minor" conference.
3rd. I think Neuheisel would love to have a few of the Bulldog athletes on his team rather than the schmoes Dorrell left him.
Fresno covers.

While everyone is aware of UCLA's problems, Fresno has problems of its own. They have been playing big games all over the country and are beat up. The already poor Fresno run defense will play with 2 true freshman and a sophomore because of injuries.
UCLA improved their running game last week and played a close game with AZ until the 4th quarter. School started this week at UCLA and the players want to prove to the student body that they're not as crappy as everyone thinks. The Trojan loss also came at the perfect time to give the Bruin Nation a little joy, deep down inside.
I'll take UCLA +7 to cover at home.

fresno looks to be the much better team here-that doesn't mean that they will cover, only that I'm putting my hard earned money on them. UCLA does not impress me in any facet of the game. The city of Angels takes another hit this week!
