I feel that Rutgers will win this game by 2 touchdowns or MORE !!! UNC had all that they can handle against McNeese State, winning the game 35 - 27 at NC. Rutgers, on the other hand, has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. I really can't see Rutgers losing 2 straight home games to start the season. Rutgers is going to want to take out their frustrations out on UNC, for getting whipped at home by a VERY GOOD Fresno State team, which very few gave Fresno a fighting chance in that game. Final Score: Rutgers 38 North Carolina 14.

I am looking at this one to bet and I will get back to you LR and see if I agree with you. I am alumni of McNeese State University and we are usually pretty good; therefore, we cant come down to hard on UNC for that.

If time to prepare for the game is a factor, UNC's last game was on August 30th, while Rutgers played on September 1...

im 9-2-1 so far in college...this game intrigued me from the second i saw it...1 huge mismatch i notice is Rutgers D-Line vs UNC O-Line...Rutgers D-Line avg weight is 255 vs UNC avg O-Line weight is 302(4 of them starters from last year)....this is bad news for Rutgers because if you can't pressure T.J. Yates he can scorch you with his VERY talented recievers Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate will drive D-Coordinators Nuts....so Rutgers key to win is heavy pressure all day on T.J. Yates..becuase their running back greg little(converted from WR) 14 carries for 37 yards vs Mcneese State doesnt look promising...I think Mike Teel has a good game and bounces back...UNC wont have much success running but if they dont pressure Yates there could be a upset in New Brunswick Thursday night!

I would take Rutgers here...NC still look like they are struggling to beat crappy teams. Hopefully Rutgers will bounce back after their rough start against Fresno.

Think Teel will have a very good night and the Scarlet Knights should have some more success on the ground. Rutgers should be able the run but I still see UNC putting up some points. Early leans on Rutgers and the over(would like to see the number though). GL

I looked up the O and D line matchups today myself and saw the physical mismatches on both sides of the ball in favor of UNC. That's gonna be a huge factor in why UNC gives Rutgers all they can handle.
I felt safer taking the ML in the Fresno game two weeks ago...I'll probably just take whatever points this line tops out at on Thursday instead. I really think that Rutgers should be very afraid of starting 0-2 to start their year.
And why do people think that Teel will bounce back? I have seen no evidence in his career that he's anything other than an average QB at best. Especially now that he's got no go to guy in the backfield like he's been used to.

you look at their teams in the past couple of years. they were carried by ray rice and their defense, along with a couple of big kicks by their kicker jeremy ito..
when relied on to win a game, Teel either folded or did just enough to win..
i like UNC more and more in this game..

Great point about Ito too OB...clearly the kicker that they brought in had issues in the Fresno game. Then again to my knowlege both squads have freshmen kicking for them, so I don't see any edge there.

my thoughts exactly, i'll get 7.5 one way or another (buy1/2 or 1 point) right before gametime
This may be why we should spend some more time looking at this one. Butch had a great recruiting class. I'm sure they where looking ahead during the Mcnee game.

Rutgers usually plays well at home on Thursday night. The place will be packed and rocking. UNC is better, but not good enough. Load up on Rutgers this week. Rutgers -4.5

just don't know about this game... seems like a no bet...
on the one hand, you have Rutgers with what is practically an NFL passing game... maybe not Teel, but Britt and Underwood are both ready to jump to the pros right now, especially Britt... there is definitely not a single CB in CFB (not one) that can handle this guy... i promise you... he is out of everyone's league! on top of that, the final score of the Fresno St game was totally misleading... that game really should have been a 16 or 20 point lead at halftime for Rutgers, which would have totally changed the emotion and gameplan of the 2nd half...
on the other hand, UNC is a bit of a sleeping dragon in the ACC... this team was very young last year and still snuck up on a few teams, including this Rutgers squad... now, UNC is much more experienced, and they've had 2 weeks to look at this game... they know they can beat this team... you may say this all points to revenge, but i always say revenge is over-rated for handicapping... it works if all factors line up...
(1) - team that lost last year was clearly the better team [yes] (2) - team that lost last year is still clearly better this year [don't think so] (3) - rivalry game [no] (4) - last years loss was a season breaker [yes]... fits 2 of them, but doesn't fit 2...
if you want revenge games look into Auburn and Georgia... those games fit all 4 revenge factor categories...
so i don't know... line is low, which begs for Rutgers money... i assume the books know this (they always do)... but man i know i am gonna want to be on Rutgers a few times this year when they can really abuse some CBs with their pro WRs... but i don't see this being one of those games...
so i'm still at a no-bet... maybe UNC ML somewhat small if i start to lean that way...
