Interesting contrast of styles here....  can UMass counter the Buckeyes in the half court?  Early lean on Ohio State but gonna dig thru the crates some....

Being a UD fan and having watched a lot of A-10 games, I like OSU here only giving up a few points. UD and UMass were of roughly the same quality in the A-10 this year. OSU was giving 8 to UD and is only giving about 3 to UMass. UMass has had 2 straight games where they have had to overcome sizable 2nd half deficits, I think if they get down again their luck runs out and they don't start nailing 3 points all over the place in the 2nd half to come back again. Only thing that scares me is that OSU got up really big against Miss in the 2nd half and let them back in the game. With UMass having had two straight big 2nd half turnarounds, I can just see myself betting OSU, they get up by like 15 at halftime, and then both teams have a 2nd half like they did in the semis and OSU loses by 10. That would just be my luck.

Have to agree w/ the OSU backers here as Butler is an extremely cool customer in the clutch and has repeatedly found a way to will his team to wins.  Rest of the team ain't to shabby either.

Hmmm on 2nd thought and analysis I think the Minutemen have the tools to hang with Ohio State.  They have been pretty good as well so don't discount them.

UMASS losing head coach to LSU will effect this game.  I like OSU -3 in this one.  They have 3 players that played in the NCAA Championship last year and that will also help.  UMASS is tough, but if they start this game out slow I don't see them coming within 5.

UMass vs. Ohio St. -3 (2 units) - the NIT Championship comes to you tonight from MSG.  The Buckeyes have played in MSG a few times this season I believe, so they might be more used to the sights and sounds.  They've also been one of my favorite teams to bet with this season.  I really haven't followed the NIT much this year, and I know UMass was pretty streaky during the regular season.  Watch out for Jamar Butler tonight, the senior won't let another Championship get away... even if it is the NIT and not the NCAA Championship.

Minutemen come through tonight, I just hope its after the first half, but Dante Milligan along with gary forbes and ricky harris are too much for the buckeyes slow paced game.  Should be a good one to watch, but I just think the minutemen are on tear and will take down anyone in their way

just as the other night i am on Umass...i really like there leadership and come back ability.....all year they have played amazing in the second halfs of games and came back in some games from a decent amount down.. also i just like that a bunch of there players are from and grew up in NYC , and are playing in front of friends and family i believe that brings good games out of players more than them being nervous and shittin the bed with a bad performance ..i also like that it seems every person is on Ohio st... like i said before ohio st relies on solid play from there guards and them to hit there shots and create turnovers on d , i really liked them against miss, but i just dont think they play as well tonight and feel umass uptempo is too much and umass shouldnt be forced into as many turnovers as miss...also im sure its nothing but i didnt like the limping from butler the other night at the end of the game a sore ankle could slow him down a step and it could play a roll against this quick umass team...   ill take the points Umass

i'm a buckeyes fan but again they will go down in flames. do you remember the davidson / wisconsin game ? the badgers didn't know what hit them. well , i expect the same kind of game. take umass and the over.

im riding with UMASS again...Florida was supposed to smoke them with there half court defensive prowess...yea right...sometimes offense trumps defense..especially at the Collegiate level...UMASS + pts...
