one of the biggest matchup is going to be the Thabeet and Briggs.  Two dominating forces.  Intially, I feel the edge is Briggs.  A little more complete.

Right out of the gate, I like the Huskies, but I would probably push it down to 1.5 or 2 ...

As a general rule in the big east, if I predict the spread correctly of a home favorite, the home favorite usually hits. I predicted it would be UCONN -3.5. But boy, its gonna hard for me to bet against Pitt. This game is a toss-up, I think a lot of the "sharp" money is going to go on Pitt. Should be a great game, BOL everybody!

i think uconn is just to big for pit and (ping) i may have to diagree with the under for both teams are good offensive rebounding teams and to me that means alot of easy second chance bucketts. ucon doesnt shoot the 3 much both teams play big and efficiant, i wouldnt be suprised if this game goes over. also the fact that uconn is so big down low we may see alot of 3 balls from pit tommorow. i think im on the over good luck guys its gona be a great game either way.

Tough game too call...Line is spot on I feel.However just like the Ping I am very tempted on the UNDER...In fact the total is so low I feel I must take it....

pitts nasty, i believe they have a real chance to win it all...on the other hand so does uconn...pitts two losses at nova and at louis and both games went under and wouldve went under 136...everyone thinks this line is right, and it might drop...doubtful  prolly uconn -4.5 or so tomorrow, jump on uconn -3 and the under while u can...uconn has too much size even for pitt, they will bang it out downlow and on defense all game...i imagine something around 70-60 uconn gl all

Nobody thinks Dyson is going to be a big factor in Uconn downfall? I think thats huge Pitt advantage and could possible decide the winner SU of this game. I really think it will be low scoring especially in the 1st half. Leaning very hard at the under 1st half under 68.5. These teams will not reach 30+ a piece in 1st 20 minutes.

I agree with others on this thread in thinking Pitt has a chance of pulling the upset tonight, especially since UConn lost G Jerome Dyson, the team's second-leading scorer (13 ppg) and their best perimeter defender, to a knee injury last Wednesday (undergoing surgery today).
 
If you're gonna go with an underdog... Pitt's about as good as it gets, at 23-2 with only two tough road losses to two top ten teams (Villanova and Louisville) and the number 1 or 2 RPI ... the last time I checked.
 
Note that Panthers now 4-1 L5 versus top-5 opponents... the loss was 80-76 at then-No.1 UConn back in 2006.

Blair was in foul trouble most of the game in Pitts only 2 loses of the season... He was going against skilled big men during those games against Louisville and Nova (Clark, Samuels, Cunningham and Anderson).... Thabeet is definitely a threat on defense but not as polished on offense. Pitt plays good D and wont let Thabeet get alley oop dunks like he does all the time. I worry more about Adrian than Thabeet tonight

this line is right on (spread and o/u).  the game itself is a coin flip and the home team automatically gets 3 points for playing on their own floor.  as for the o/u, the number is right where it should be.  my stats project this one at 139.  it opened at 136 / 135.5.  it's slightly lower because of the loss of dyson.  tough game to call.  i'm staying away from the total.  it's way too close.  i do lean towards pitt with the points.

Guys (and a gal or two), the line seems just about right.  O/U is unpredictable, depending on which team dominates (UConn = under, Pitt = over).  So why waste your money on a coin flip bet.  There are better games out there.
 
Well, it is on TV...  And there aren't many games today... Maybe I'll flip a coin and take a side for a SMALL bet...   Tails = PITT (yes, I really flipped a coin)
 
But the point is pass or keep it small.  You don't have to bet every big game.  You should be looking for value and there's no value here.

For example, check out Canisius at Loyola-Maryland.  No one is watching and it is going s-o-o-o-o-o-o under (or at least one half will).

I think a 2 team tease for Tex A&M and Pittsburgh is a GREAT play tonight...(I'm going with a 5 points tease tonight).
    I don't typically believe cappers here or anywhere are consistently good enough to be able to nail a play within 1 or two scoring plays......which is what would be required to call these two games correctly tonight (for the winner).

I'm thinking its about time for the Huskies to lose the 2nd game of the year here and if any team could get them in their house it would be the Panthers. Matchups like these where both teams are so strong u usually have to give the edge to turnovers and the bench and thats where I feel the Panthers might be just a bit better. PITT +3
