Just ordered my tickets for Sundays STP 500, looks like a great forecast for the race, sunny & 72 the high!  Race should be exciting with a lot of fender bending. Looking forward to meeting up with Stats for some good food & ice cold Miller Lites
Overall YTD -2.75 units
Race Winners 0-11
Race Matchups 3-2
Thought I'd try something different this week since I'm going to the race & make a couple of pre qualifying plays that I think have some value, but will add a few plays later after practices!
Dale Jr. +1200 1/4 unit
Mark Martin +2000 1/4 unit
All lines from si, can't wait for the green flag on Sunday!

I`m on the fence. Right now I`m thinking of catching cup practice and Harvick in the trucks.

Side notes;

Jimmy Johnson is bringing chassis 749. This is the same chassis he ran here in the fall. set on the pole, led 193 of 500 laps and won the race. Was never out of the top 6 during the race.

I see most (70%) teams elect to bring a new chassis here, even Bowyer. That chassis Bowyer has for backup is the one he ran here in the fall it led for 154 laps and finished 5th.

Stenhouse is making his first ever start in any division at Martinsville.

forcast 30% chance of rain and high of 65

That`s today forecast .

Sat and Sun looks great Sunny with  highs near 70

Hope they pack the stands. This county could really use the money.
The unemployment rate here is lowest in the state.

MLB Hendrick camp is always tough @ the Paperclip. But I remember back in my younger days in the late 80s my all time favorite driver Rusty Wallace was $$$ @ martinsville Those were the good ole days, sat on row 1 of those concrete seats on the backstrecth where they have those signs now cause we were broke as hell! Would leave the race covered in tire rubber & possibly need stitches when a big piece would hit you in the forehead. Been thru about 10 different miller lite can designs since then

This different tire that they have to deal with has got crews scratching there heads. From what I`ve seen is after 10 laps they dealing with a totally different animal.

The trucks are running the same tire and we should pay close attention to how they correspond .

This tire came from a test back in Aug. with drivers , 99, 29,48,an 56.
Yes the 48 was here for the test...

You don't have to look at you stopwatch to see the times fall off just look at the rubber left laid on the track. Its the most I`ve ever seen.

I think tomorrows practice will separate the guy that could be winding the clock or the guy that just eating a hotdog.

Bad as I hate it, I`ve got to punch in for a few hours Sunday and there`s no around it.

If your looking for a good place to eat I recommend a mexican restaurant called Los Nortenos it`s right next to Dutch Inn. The fajitas are awesome!

Got ya Kouz.  Rusty was a short track ace but DW, Schrader, Gordon, JJ been awesome there.  Chase Elliott next in line for elite status for HMS
