can you explain what an exacta box is. The ticket shows different boxes but I was curious about this one
An exacta box means it can come in either way.let me explain.Lets say you bet a $2 ex box with 3 horses,lets say 1-2-3 .You have 6 combinations you can win with,so its a 12 dollar bet. It can come in 1-2 , 1-3 , 2-1 , 2-3 , 3-1, 3-2 .So basically you have 6 bets, 2 dollars each one.Hope this helps you :-))
I wouldnt say I always give a favorite.Saturday I gave 2 horses that paid very well,Palomas Flight paid 10.20 5.80 hebesmallbutmighty paid 12.80 6.40. I put my picks on here early so everyone can get to them in time.But you have to watch the board before you bet.If the odds are good you can wheel him sure,hope for a longshot to come in with them and catch a real nice number.But if its a big favorite,its tough to bet him with the whole field,you wont make any money unless a real longshot comes in 2nd or beats him.So my suggestion is always bet win and place, then play a few hook ups too and look for a nice hit :-))
