Thanks for the input Kap. I am definitely using Missile Nick, but I think I have to use Dylan Dangerous. Steps up in class for Rudy Rodriguez but Sirtori the 2nd place finisher in that race came back to score next out and trainer is 26% with 2nd time starters.
Going 3/6 in the first leg. Race 5 scares me, as they appear to be evenly matched. If the #1 doesn't fire from the rail,
#9 Departures could inherit an easy lead and will be tough to catch off his last 2 efforts. Also using the
#3 Dixie's Cat Can Do who has done nothing wrong in his 2 lifetime turf sprints at Fair Grounds,
#2 Plainview Wilkes/Lezcano finally placed where he belongs with a top turf jock and
#8 Shotinthefog scares me at 12-1 for George Weaver... I have to put him on the ticket.
Race 6 I am at peace with using just 2 (big scratch of #8 who I would have had to use)....
#6 Sunday To Remember who enters with the best recent effort and
#5 Simply Stunning who should improve off the barn switch to Jeremiah Englehart, who is a very good sprint trainer and hits 38% first time out. I almost singled #5, but decided to use it in Race 8 instead.
Race 7 I'm comfortable using 3 here, including the favorite #12 Touch of Revenge, who can win but is beatable IMO. I am also using
#3 Royal Suspicion (12-1), who ran well in an off the turf effort last out and I like that they are bringing him right back to the turf,... and
#8 Blazing Arches (10-1).
My single is the entry in Race 8. I really like the solid
#1 Hailstone, who has run in much much tougher company and will appreciate this drop in class. #1A is no slouch either, so it's nice to have a backup just in case. I do like #3 Hyper, but I had to make a stand and this was it.
Race 9 is absolutely wide open, so I'm going 5 deep, using #1,#7,#9,,#10,#12. If I am fortunate enough to be alive, I think one of these will bring it home for me

My ticket is punched in, hopefully there are no LATE SCRATCHES today to mess things up.

$480 ....this is above my limit usually but the pool size is worth it and the races are kind to my handicapping strengths (turf and maidens) so I'm taking a stab. Best of luck to all playing, I'll be happy to share the pot with you
