Algorithms scratched.. so that takes one of the big boys out..

I like Discreet Dancer, but we will have to wait closer to post time with bad weather forecasted for this afternoon in south florida.. Hoping the weather stays away so we can see Discreet Dancer and Union Rags go at it

only horse I&#x27;m really looking at playing in the fountain of youth is discrete dancer, he&#x27;s a good horse making his first start of the year. He gets a decent jump up in clas but his connections should help him handle this field nicely.  Plus he will have the most betting value for the situation he in for today&#x27;s race.  Union rags in my opinion is the best horse in the field today but since he as enough graded stakes money to get into the derby already I&#x27;m not sure how hard they will push him today.  As for the favorite Algorithms I think that slop aided 105 his last out is a bit much.  They changed his Bayer from 98 in that race to 105 late which makes me wonder.  One other interesting horse in e race today that is worth a small win wager is Casual Trick.  Can&#x27;t count out any horse trained by Nick Zito.  He stumbled at the start of his last race and just couldn&#x27;t recover.  I think he could run very well in this race today also.I&#x27;ll be betting the 5 to win, a smaller win bet on the 4an exacta box of the 5 an 4

Union Rags doesn&#39;t need graded earnings so I don&#39;t think they will go all out on him being it&#39;s his first time back to track...looking for someone else to win

At 20-1 on the M/L, I&#x27;m considering using the #3 Fort Loudon as my key horse in here. Hell, he has 4 wins including one at the distance.&#xD;&#xA;Rags may not be fully cranked up yet and DD does have 2 wins but against ziltch. At the m/l odds I think I&#x27;ll give the 3 a whirl and probably mix in some #1 Neck n Neck too?&#xD;&#xA;I like the 5-3-7-1 in that order.&#xD;&#xA;GLTA

I am leaning with GAMBLER on this one. Without Algorithms here this race seems to be begging for a stalker/closer to win and there are 4 good ones here in my estimation: Union Rags,Fort Loudon, Neck N Neck and Csaba.While I love Discreet Cat, I will play a fast pace upfront with him in the mix and perhaps gaspng for air near the end.

Could we see a four-horse fight to the finish? Maybe.

My picks:

#7 Union Rags....not totally sold, but he's got the right guy on him for the close in what needs to be a very tactical race if speed balls go all out.

#3 Fort Loudon.....take a clue from his win at Calder when he stayed close; will probably need to do so again today. He appears to have staying power despite his BC bed-wetter.He has yet to come close to running to his potential.

#1 Neck N Neck.....this is a scary dude. Check his second to Discreet Cat and hope he can stretch if you back him.

#8 Csaba.....not a lot here, but a breakdown among the leaders and he could sneak in for a win from the center of the track.

#5 Discreet Cat....lots to like, but will play against at a hot pace....rain or shine. If he holds and gallops out well, he wil be in the team photo for favoritism as we get closer to the first Sat. in May.

You are fearing a wasted start if he isn&#x27;t healthy. &#xD;&#xA;Union Rags was really impressive. With his size, I keep seeing Point Given.

Oh I know. I was heartbroken. Stevens takes the blame for that race. But what is memorable about him was his size and power and ability to make a powerful move turning for home.
