Roused, if we are to believe you, you are boxing the three favorites in a 14 horse field in the tri (by the way, probably the only three under 10-1 in this race).  Wish I was your bookie, no way they ALL come in the money, of course any one of them could win, maybe 2 of the 3 come in the money.  Good luck, though - some charity would be more deserving of $1200...... 

Rouses, you sound like you're new to horse racing. You realize that these are living, breathing creatures. Even if they are the 3 best horses by far at this distance, a lot can happen to prevent them from finishing 1-2-3. You may want to limit yourself to a $150 trifecta box, so that you can hedge with the remaining $300 in monopoly money.

Saying your going to bet any horse is the reason why 95% of horse players lose $. You should only bet a horse if the odds justify the bet...hence value bet. Every blue moon you can bet a horse underlayed...but not often.

My computer software and handicapping says play shakelford if he is anywhere near 12-1. Will be keying him in the exotics if he is 10-1+. Can he hold on...we'll see. But he will be there in deep stretch with a shot!

You'll get a run for your money - and if you don't hit it won't too far off. Seems could be a chalky Preakness, and Animal Kingdom might just be head and shoulders above these. We'll see tomorrow.

I If you had that, than that's impressive. Especially since you would have left out the 2nd, 4th and 5th betting favorites with Pioneer of the Nile, Friesan Fire and Big Drama.

Good luck tomorrow. I just don't think betting that kind of money on 3 horse tri boxes in crowded fields will be profitable in the long run but maybe I'm wrong if you have been doing it for so long. 

Not really an apple-to-apples comparison with 2009 though because the 2nd favorite did not hit the board. If this hits, the pay-out would be closer to the 2007 pay-out when the top 3 hit the board (Curlin, Street Sense, and Hard Spun). Payout there for a $200 tri would have been about $5,000. Not worth it to me.

shackelford @ 12-1 was a great value bet. Not trying to spout or anything (see post#13 on this thread) but after years of research with a software program...and my own 20+ years of knowledge. I had a lot of idiots talk shit 5 months ago when I said I was going to sell my software picks to the public.

If u lose at horses there is a reason...most do. It is a hard game...if u bet favorites u have no chance. You have to wait for opportunities and then pounce. 119$ exacta 700+ tri...27$ to win...when u do win...you have to score...cause you will lose many more bets than you win!

I can't play poker anymore online...so the horses are back in my life. I never forgot...Point Given lost in the Derby. if he can lose...so can any other great/good horse!

Can make more betting than selling my picks...as it has been a good 4 months. When I get sick of the grind...maybe than...but it won't be anytime soon.! May ur nose be on the wire.

It was bad enough that you made a future's bet on any Derby horse, but since Dialed In already ran a clunker, you now let your ego get the best of you by chasing on that nag again.

However, I was very surprised that Animal Kingdom ran another solid race today, and I actually expected Dialed In to run much better.
