Went 1-1 in my plays in the quarters onto the semis today. I think both spreads are too high. I think there is a good chance that both favs win straight up and advance however the under dogs cover the spread.
LIU (+6) at Wagner
LIU is the defending back to back champs of this conference and are well accustomed to playing in the spotlight. Granted they lost their best player in Julian Body (returning NEC POY) early in the year however this team still has plenty of weapons. These two teams met in a game at Wagner two Sundays ago with the game going down to the wire as Ortiz hit a follow up layup at the buzzer to win in OT. I see this game once again going down to the wire.
Mt St Mary's (+9) at Robert Morris
These two teams have played in countless big NEC games during their rivalry and today you can add another one to the count. These are the two hottest teams in the NEC right now with RMU being the best team in the conference all year however the Mount has won 8 straight and 10 of 11. I think the Colonials willl go on and win this game and eventually represenet the NEC in the NCAAs however the Mount will give them a game in this one. They are playing too good right now to fall by more than 9 points. I see RMU winning this game with a score of 75-70.

Yea Qunnipiac had LIU in the quarters....if they had just a little big better guard play they could have won the NEC. Nobody has the bodies to match up with them down low. Will be interesting to see how they compete in the MAAC next year.

Mount at LIU on Tues night, something to keep an eye on is Mount's start PG Julian Norfleet left the game today on crutches prob won't play which really hurts the Mountaneers.
