win by Notre Dame before the championship Monday in Cincinnati. Took some
punches and fell behind by 9 early, but they buried a ton of 3pt shots
and beat a solid squad. Hard to rely on them falling all the time -Georgetown
can't score, but if you stop their fastbreak and pressure outside they
almost have no chance because they can't use the post (reminds me of
UNC). The defense is long and the press is difficult with all that
length, but if they don't score/make FTs it's almost meaningless -Still not convinced Pitt is a good team, but they had a lot go right and deserve credit for their defense

I wasn't high on VT preseason, but they are at home against the probable doormat of the ACC yet they're lined like they'd be a dog on a neutral floor. I feel like a square even having it on my list, though based on power rankings alone that should definitely be a play...

-Aggies have an awful schedule strength and lost at home to the likes of Southern, but I think they get a win tonight. Probably should have locked this at pick yesterday, but I wanted to see where this one shook out as I made it 4. Old Southwest Conference rivalry probably means a home crowd more similar to the students being back than not, but I don't expect Reed Arena to be functioning with its normal venom like during a semester. Arkansas is a play-against on the road until they prove something to me, especially now that they're relying on freshmen to help off the bench. Meanwhile the Aggies have been dealing with some turnover on the roster, but they have a pretty versatile squad who should be able to match Arkansas well. Freshman J'Mychal Reese will be the key tonight if he can avoid the sloppy turnovers against what will be a vicious press, but he did get a lot of hype coming to College Station. TAMU's defense allows a good percentage from beyond the arc, but I hope they dare the Hogs to shoot from outside because that will likely end in an Aggies win.

They do not play good defense, neither does BC. All in all, they have three guys who can guard Ryan Anderson and that's who the Eagles will want to use early and often. Defense will be a priority and the benching of Barksdale should fire the guy up if he gets in the game so I also get a pissed off big with something to prove.
