I've taken most of the last week off due to holidays, but I've had today circled on my calendar as my last hurrah for what's been a struggle in December. So here's to ushering in the new year with a bang!
All plays are 4 Units
Virginia -11.5
Virginia should wreck Wofford on the boards today, and the Cavs score the ball more efficiently than Wofford. If they shoot better and will have more shot chances due to rebounding, and they're playing at home, I like their chances to bury Wofford today.
Indiana State +5
Indiana State owns this matchup at home. They're playing good ball right now and that trip to Hawaii ended 5 days ago, which is plenty of time to get home and rest up for a rivalry game. I like Indiana State to win this straight up, so the 5 points are just a gift imo.
Southern Illinois -4.5
Missouri State is dreadful this year. They have 3 guys that can kinda score and two are underclassmen. They've lost too much from last year and I'm just going to roll with the better Salukis team.
Detroit -7
I'm kicking myself for not jumping on this spread sooner. Canisius has become a public darling, going 9-3 ATS this season. URI transfer Billy Baron has really helped turn Canisius into a competitive basketball team, but they still don't have much depth and will struggle to compete late in games against deeper teams. I'm taking the more talented, deeper team playing at home here.
Dayton +2.5
Can someone tell me how USC is favored here? I mean, I always assume the line-makers know more than me, but you still have to trust your own instincts and mine tell me Dayton wins this game. USC couldn't score in a women's prison with a fistful of pardons. Dayton's core is made up of upperclassmen and they're just more talented than USC.
Princeton +7.5
Akron is the better team, playing at home, but are they 8 points better? I don't think so. Princeton has a knack for playing competitive in games they should get creamed in, and this is just my gut telling me Princeton keeps this one close.
Northern Iowa +7.5
Northern Iowa can hang with Louisville, Memphis, G. Mason, and St. Mary's. If you don't take the 7.5 points here you're nuts.
Why not, parlay all 7 1 unit pays 91
Good luck on your plays today! January, here we come
