You can probably tell by my name that I may be a little biased here, but laying 5 points with MSU tonight is a losing battle. This game will be UGLY, a grind it out matchup probably decided in the final 30 seconds.
MSU is the public play, nobody has given the Ville a chance for the past month(myself included), and all they do is keep silencing the critics. "The Big East is weak, they can't shoot, etc. etc. etc." The major reasons analysts/public hates the Big East are because it's a miserable style of basketball to watch and is the perennial powerhouse that everyone loves to hate. Nobody wants to see teams shoot 30% from the field and grind the shot clock down to 10 every possession. It's much easier to love on a team like Duke that shoots 40% from the three point line and scores 80 points a game.
The Cards have lost by 5+ points only 4 times this year, three of which include at Kentucky(7), at Marquette(11), and at Syracuse(9). The Marquette loss was avenged in the BET, and Cuse won by only a point at Louisville, where the Cards had a chance to win at the end of the game. The Providence game, well I'll just chalk that one up to the entire team quitting, along with the coach. That game was just an embarrassment.
The fact of the matter is these two teams play a very similar style, with MSU getting a slight edge inside the paint. Louisville has an edge at the guard positions, but that all hinges upon the jekyll/hyde that is Peyton Siva. If he plays like he did in the BET, Louisville wins outright. I think he comes out tight early, loosens up, but then makes some costly mistakes in crunch time. He's not exactly Mr. Clutch. Spartans win by 3 in a snooze fest-play the ML if you like Sparty.

Huge coaching advantage for MSU in my opinion. Could be the differnce in this one. GL

MSU wins but doesn't cover. Izzo did say he wants a track meet though so should be an interesting total.
That's a crock. After watching MSU players suck wind during the SLU game, there's no way that's what he wants. I'd LOVE to see them try to run with us. After having Pitino as the coach for nearly 12 years, I've learned to believe the opposite of whatever he says.

Not saying you are wrong but be careful of the "this team hasn't lost by x logic", same argument last night in the NV?Stanford game and look where that went. I do hope it is a tight game and I like the Crds, just not sure that they can play for 40 minutes with State. GL on your play!!

So one instance where a team gets blown out in the NIT is supposed to be your evidence to debunk my stance that Louisville plays close games, no matter who the opponent? Got it.

You're a Louisville backer and you like Louisville +5, and I'm a Sparty backer and I think MSU blows them out.......go figure !!! LOL!
All kidding aside, I think a lot of people underestimate just how physical and dominant MSU is inside. I know Louisville backers did a few years ago, and I think they still are. This MSU team is very physical, MSU wil beat them up on the boards.....bad. You thought NM beat you on the glass, that's nothing compared to what's gonna happen tonight. But I've been wrong before and I will admit, as a MSU fan, I'm very overconfident and completely overlooking Louisville, no disrespect, I just think are only a couple of teams in this tourney that can beat MSU and this ain't one of them. But good luck though man, appreciate the insight on you team

DaCards, Let the public take Mich St. You and I both know the Cards as we are from Louisville and know how well we are playing as of late. Mich St could hardly win vs ... who was that team again?? Mich St sux so bad. As Bart Scott would say "Can't Wait"

I have no money on the game and I think MSU wins. Just posting my view and think it's an edgeless line. Last time I posted this was against Syracuse, when everyone on covers was pounding their chest and laying the points. Cuse won by 1.

Don't really bet totals but would find out who the refs are and their propensity to call fouls. We're notorious for hacking the hell out of other teams, MSU is really physical, and if they're calling a tight game there will be a zillion free throw attempts.
