For those of you complaining about lane violation call in Xavier ND game

Little bit of inside information......that was the exact call that was missed yesterday in the Syracuse game that had a sizeable impact on the end of the game. There was an official rules memo that went out to all officials this AM discussing that exact scenario and the fact it should have been called and would be called moving forward. There was also a memo sent to all coaches discussing. If anyone is to blame for play at end of the game it is Bray and coaching staff. For what has been a tough tournament so far on officials they got this one right.

So here is something I dont understand.....the theory is "you dont make the call cause you are impacting the end of the game" arent you effectively impacting the game as severly by not making the call as you are making the call? Either way you are impacting the game for one team or another, if what you want out of officials is consistency the same thing should be called in last minute as in the first minute.

when you are making the $$$ these guys are making as officials trust me there is no need for a fix, when the boss says you make the call and enforce the rule as written you make the call and enforce the rule regardless of point of game.

You really want to know how the NCAA feels about that call being made....wait until Sunday and that ref is working again, then you'll know.

there is now a maximum allowance of players at 5 that are allowed to be lined up in the lane for a FT attempt. 3 DF players and 2 OF players. Any other players on the floor can not cross the 3 pt arc anywhere on the floor or go deeper than the FT line until the ball touches the rim.

how do you blame the head coach for that black kid throwing the ball out of bounds when you have the lead and can run the clock virtually all the way down to a few secs and get a shot off.   If that play is not made then there is no need for this shit to fall in the refs hands. They made the same calls they did in the cuse game yesterday.

I agree......I am not sure at that point he realized it was on the guy crashing from the top, also that was the rule when Clark played....who knows but again look at ND bench reaction they 100% knew what happened and knew they had a kid make a dumb play.
