Illinois getting a lot of points here for two teams that usually have low scoring games.
Recently Illinois's defense hasn't been stellar like they were in the beginning of the season...ESPN reporting Bruce sat star players for lack of effort and what not in the past.
I've seen the last three Illinois games and offensively they have been much more aggressive and not running out the shot clock every possession. I have a buddy who recently graduated from there and says this team looks like it has transformed....will it lead to winning basketball? Who knows but the over under line seems to be off as this team is completely different.
Now a month ago, I would have gone under and Wisconsin/Illinois total as the public loves betting up the 115 spreads without even doing any research on the teams. However, senior day for Wisconsin and a much better 3 point shooting team for Illinois could lead to some points in bunches.
Wisconsin's defense at home as been amazing though. Their first mactchup was pretty high scoring and that was when both teams were still thinking of potential big 10 titles and had some of the best (wisconsin still does) defenses in the country.
I definitely see Wisconsin getting in the 60s today...I believe it will come down to whether not illinois can get into the 50s...which with there more aggresive style, I think they have a very good shot leading to why I am picking this bet.
