12-6 on Terp games this season...lost a few in a row
My Terps travel to Raleigh to open the ACC season Sunday. I don't like any other ACC team as Terp fan but there are a few I am ok with and there are a few I can't fucking stand. NCSU is one of them. My hatred is soothed by the fact that we have won nine straight against them. Most of those nine straight wins haven't been nail-biters and my favorite one was Greivis sinking a 3 at the buzzer, already up by a ton and asking "hows my dick taste?" That was the night that the Pack honored their first National Championship at that God-foresaken school since Jimmy V....the Bass Fishing Team. What the fuck?
NCSU has an impressive record thus far but shit, who doesn't? I THINK they are better coached now that fat boy is gone with his red jacket. They have some bigs who do a very good job, they've shot the ball pretty well from the field and FT line thus far and they rebound the ball well. The Terps rebound the ball pretty well also and that just got a lot better with the addition of Len. We haven't played many decent teams but then again, neither have they. Syracuse ran them off their own court in the seocnd half and I don't see either team having any battle-tested resume so far.
I think the Terps will continue to focus on the defensive end where they haven't even been average yet. Turge is pissed and they will have to start busting their asses defensively now that we are in ACC play. I'd assume CJ Williams will be guarded by Pe'Shon or Mosley in order to try and slow him down some. He's a tough match-up for us but then again, Stogs is a very tough match-up for whoever they put on him. I think NCSU will have a slight advantage on the boards but nothing to be too concerned with. The Terps will continue to improve in the turnover area as PeShon has returned allowing Stogs to slide to the 2. I don't see Faust being allowed to shoot much tomorrow as he has been a major disappointment there so far. He needs to rebound, defend, slash and hustle right now. I cringe when the guy shoots right now.
This one comes down to the Terps running tehir offense and Stogs not trying to carry the team on his own. Len will see more looks inside and his staying out of foul trouble will be key. The total of almost 150 makes no sense to me. The Terps still have long scoring sroughts against lesser competition and I just don't see a game that gets out of the low 140's. I also don't understand the Terps being double digit underdawgs to a team like this. Yes, we haven't played great so far but damn, IncestU is no world beater either. Maybe it's some sort of revenge angle being built into the spread???? I think this one stays fairly close throughout as the Terps have the best player on the court and a better coach. Not sure we win SU but hell it's the ACC and you just never know.

The total of almost 150 is shocking in my opinion as I don't know where the Vegas computers got a number anywhere close to that.
Not sure either. This is Terps 1st true road game (correct me if wrong), and the only other game they've played against a decent team was Bama, and they only put up 42 (was early in the season). Terps are shooting 44% on the year, but I think that dips down to 40ish for this game. Wolfpack have played some decent squads already (Indiana, Cuse, Tex and Vandy), so they will be ready. No way I could lay 10 here, but I just dont know if UM can shoot well enough to keep it close.....

Terps played Bama without Pe'Shon Howard and Alex Len, getting those 2 back makes a huge difference for this team. Just watching this team before those 2 were on the court and watching them now, they've completely changed the complexity. Len provides a huge factor on the inside and Pe'Shon allows Stoglin to move to his natural position. I see a 73-69 type of score, either way.

Plays: Terps +10 and double play on the under 149
lol I was at that game. I was like wtf. And the people were hooping and hollerin like they had done something. And yes beating State is a big thing for me too. They are the easiest in the area to get tickets to and where I have seen most of my Terp games. We get under these peoples skin. From Phillip being 0-4 versus the Terps to us knocking them out of a bowl game almost every year, they are the games I look forward to most. Oh yeah don't forget THEY blame us and Gary Williams for not getting a good coach lol. I wanted to go to the game, but they are pricing their tickets out of my range to just see a regular season game. For football, shitty tickets were $55+, good seats were in the $80 range. Basketball isn't much better and therefore it's ESPNU for me. Go Terps!

It is a wolf. What more would you expect from a school whose only Natty in anything since Jimmy V's miracle was a bass fishing championship a few years ago. No, not kidding.
